Blood clots are nothing to mess with. We had a perfectly healthy 30is woman at work die a couple of years ago. Clot went from her foot to her lungs and killed her.
Yup they are not, my mom just had a stroke from one of hers. She’s been on blood thinners for a couple years now as well.

I haven’t heard about this. Did this result from a recent injury? My wife who is a nurse is always concerned about this happening to our son whenever an injury occurs.
Cleat to the leg caused a bruise which caused a small clot. It moved after his next game so they shut him down.

Out for the season. They found some in his lungs.
Yeah he may retire after this one. My mom had a 2.5cm clot in her aorta that stayed for the last 5 years. It broke loose during her recent surgery. They started in her legs and hips. She was in intensive care for about a week getting meds and stuff for it. Stayed good on blood thinners until this heart ablation.

NFL and NFLPA is doing extensive investigation. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Eagles get in big time trouble if what information out there already is true. Blood clots aren’t to be taken lightly.
There is also stuff out there that he is faking it because he wants out of the organization and the organization doesn't want him.

What’s out there about it? They say him down after it reveled to have moved. What else could they have done? Unless he didn’t want to play and they somehow made him.

I had blood clots in my lungs. I could barely make it up the stairs. When I passed out once briefly at the top I let my family call an ambulance. Took an MRI to find them as regular X-rays at Urgent Care were always inconclusive. Been on blood thinners since and that was 11 years ago. Can't believe they let him play and fly home afterward.

Pulmonary embolism (clot formed elsewhere but a portion of the clot breaks loose and travels to the lungs) is a not uncommon cause of sudden death, particularly in hospitalized patients. The clots form in the deep veins of the legs or in pelvis and travel up the large vein that brings blood back to the heart and then exits the heart via the pulmonary arteries to the lungs. The reason they try to quickly up to walk following surgery is to prevent this and certainly has decreased post op deaths from this. The clot emboli that often cause strokes often are formed in the heart caused by atrial fib. These clots break off and go up the carotid to brain. The atrial fib may result in heart ablation to correct. Treatment will initially include blood thinners which can be dangerous in a violent sport
