Not to mention that strategy didn't exactly work too well for our football and baseball programs for most of the past decade.

you are what's wrong with MSU athletics. The quicker you and people like you die off, the better our programs will be. Just make sure and leave 10% of the inheritance to the Bulldog Club

Now go take your nap Grandpa and get ready for the Early-bird dinner special at the Original Oyster House...Starts at 4pm

Now, that is in itself and understatement. Now, If I am what is wrong with MSUaccording to your rented mule coach 34 then I hate to think most folks think he is what is right. And yes, I do have MSU in my will ,so what? I know it drives your interest up Dawgstudent, but Coach is what is wrong with MSU. Seldom ever goes to a game, acts like a basketball expert, which he isn't, and can't back it up without a bunch of distorted facts. Probably doesn't give hardly a dime to the program because he can find fault with something to justify his reasons not to. Miserable folks deserve each other.

I don't know how you define luck in your business, but typically the bottom line is getting the deal done. Most people don't care how - brother in law relationship, lower price whatever. The fact is he got those guys you mentioned to sign. He also had competition for those guys after their individual circumstances occured. They didn't say now my only option is MSU, he had to recruit those guys to sign with MSU. I can name 5 others where he was working on big time players and they didn't sign because we was "unlucky". He shouldn't and doesn't get credit for them.

But he ridicules folks who give people credit for doing a good job. Last I checked, Luck counts! I do know Stans worked his butt off to get this kid and he had some catching up to do. Stans is going to be here at least 2 or 4 more years for sure but these trolls won't be happy unless they get their own version of some new coach who probably wouldn't come anyway. Lawrence Roberts daddy and granddaddy both told me he felt more at home at MSU and with this staff and he had numerous places who wanted him. That takes work and luck has nothing to do with it, no matter what these tools try to say.

I try to stop there whenever I can. Be alot better than whatever I will be fixing for dinner tonight. Solid recruit though, not like it will hurt us. Lucky or not, hopefully he will fill a void or something

How does what he posted affect MSU?

Are you saying b/c of the comment about just let the coaches and MSU worry about it?

You never saw me post that I trusted Croom or Templeton. They didn't produce so that is your normal ******** way of interjecting something nobody said. I do trust Stansbury because he has produced and a hell of a lot more than you ever have other than producing hate and anger toward someone who could coach circles around you. And by the way, what is old to you? I realize you act like an imbocile teenager but since when did maturity become a handicap? Now, go watch that Princeton offense with Fish and plan your next agenda.

Iam not drawing social security and I work every day in my own business and enjoy it. Even if I did draw social security, what the hell does that have to do with this discussion? Are you saying teenage folks have more sense than folks who have had life's experiences. Go take your meds, sell a few condoms which you and Fish can use on each other, and give us a break. MSU will be here long after you and I will be gone but I hope we keep the coaches we have in place now because they work their butts off and appear to love the University. That is more than your behavior exhibits.

Since when is a 6'3 shooting guard undersized? It is pretty rare to have a really good shooting guard that is taller than 6'5 in the college game.
Oddly enought, size doesnt just relate to height. A165lbSG that is 6'3 is undersized.

...read that on Rivals. Google showed me a couple other stats that are higher. If he isnt really that, then ill happily drop that undersized comment.

Veazey has Steele at 6'3 195 lbs. That is not undersized. Not to mention that even if he wasunder weight, it is not hard to put some weight on an 18 year old kid.If he has the skills thatschools like Auburn and Florida think he has then I think Stansbury might have gotten another steal. I like the fact that Stans really liked his defensive ability. I am starting to think you can't teach that to guys like Ravern and Kodi.

do you really think your input matters all that much? Do you really think that is whats wrong with MSU? Do you really think that anyone gives a 17 about what you say about Dixon, Russell, or Stans? Let me answer that for you..................THEY DON'T CARE.

What is the matter with MSU? People who don't contribute. People who say, why should I give? My opinion doesn't matter. We suck. Etc. Etc. Etc. MFers give to LSU, Bama, et al regardless of how good they are. Now dont get me wrong. I know winning helps, but people giving like its their GD passion, like its their life. Thats what we need more of.

Old geezers trusting the coaches doesn't matter one way or the other unless they have some direct control over whether said coach gets hired or fired.

Ive now read on multiple sites that he isnt that light anymore.
That doesnt change the fact that he is anything but an elite or even high recruit, but at least he is no longer undersized.

To respond to the comments about Florida and other interest in him this spring, i would say that its because its the spring and with the exception of a very select few elite recruits, the only players typically left are lower recruited guys that had solid HS senior seasons.

It was at this exact point last season when Wendell Lewis committed to us. Remember how much interest he was getting from all sorts of programs? Even very good teams need players to round out their bench, its typically what spring signees end up doing.

Obviously i hope this guy ends up being yet another diamond in the rough, but the odds are against him.

As far as I know Lewis WAS lightly recruited and that's why he waited until the spring to sign hoping for an SEC offer. However, with Steele, he was signed, sealed and delivered to Auburn early on and the coaching change is what made him available. Appears to be very different circumstances on those 2 players.

My question on Steele (and he does sound like a quality player) is how does this signing affect the role of Brian Bryant who I thought was suppose to be the heir apparent to Barry Stewart AND why did we decide to oversign on another guard when our post depth appears to be our obvious weakness at the moment? With all of the question marks in the post for the upcoming year (Sidney - will he stay?, Bailey - can he get healthy?, Reik - can he ever be a contributor?, Lewis - will he mature as a Sophomore?, Augustus - has NO desire to bang underneath no matter what his size) I just don't get using both scholarships this year on guards. Maybe there just weren't any quality post guys available but I still have nightmares that next year every team we play will get 5 shots on each trip before we can get a rebound.

It's not like he posted what Hannah Montana tweeted about her breakfast. This was legitimate news, and the information happened to be disseminated by twitter. <div>

Rhansti (sp?) Harris, the big man from New Hope that went to prep school then signed with Georgia State but failed to qualify is now looking at UTEP. I know that he sat out last year and played in the West Point rec league.

Yes, Steele was originallyan early signee, good point. He signed early with Auburn...the best offer(big program) which is a terrible program.

The main wayi am comparing themis that they were/are both 2*/low 3* recruits that drew interest late in the recruiting process. Had MSU, Cincy, and the near dozen other programs i read about that went after Steele this spring actually gone after him early on, then id think differently. But his true interest has come late in the recruiting process.
That is different from say Xavier Henry who was heavily recruited both early on AND after he was released from his LOI at Memphis last season.
