Issues? He was fine in the NFL, just couldn't hang onto the ball when he got hit. I often thought it was because of his size, and the size of his hands compared to the larger NFL ball.
And the size and speed of the hitters.

canadian football must have different rules cause in that first clip he does the "fair catch" arm movement
Fair catches aren't allowed in the CFL. I remember that the Giants acquired Leon Bright from the CFL as a punt returner. He never called for fair catches, and one time he got leveled with a massive hit.

Against the Lions.

And I think if you fair catch in the CFL it’s a point for the other team. I know it used to be and I believe it was called a “rouge”, pronounced roooshe.

Think it’s just for touchbacks now.

How many punt/kickoff TD’s does he have in the CFL? Every season it seems we see a couple highlights of his returns

Edit: After watching in slow motion it didn't look like a dirty play:

Yeah, I slowed down the slow motion and grabbed screen shots. Just an unfortunate play. Notice that the time stamp of 0:25 has not changed from the first shot where Grant's right leg is extended fully forward and the Iowa defender first makes contact to when Grant's right leg is behind him and he is falling forward when the Iowa's defender's left foot is over Grant's calf.

I don't know what was more painful, listening to Beth Mowins with the speed of the audio slowed down or watching Grant get injured.
