of the puzzle. Now if we get a couple others to fall into place, look out. Maybe the old MSU luck is beginning to change a bit.

jeez, why won't yall just be happy that I had found it out and wanted to share it with yall, instead of complaining like high school girls that I'm making it up? I'm not trying to be cool, I just like sharing good MSU news whenever I can. Sue me.

mofo's. Thanks for the info. Think we should be Top 25 w/o Sidney (with JV returning). I could see us being Top 10-15 if we can successfully incorporate Sidney into the program.

Looking at UK's recruiting, we better beat that arse while we can (assuming Mark G. doesn't land somewhere where he has enough influence to open another one of their FedEx "packages").

1) I don't know about you guys, but I'm just waiting for some bombshell to hit. Following the season, we were looking at having an a pretty awful team next year if either Augustus transfers or JV went pro. God forbid if both were to happen.

Instead of that, Augustus decides to remain a Bulldog, nobody of any significance leaves the program, Renardo Sidney(who happens to play the exact position that we desperately need) falls in our lap, and now Varnado is coming back. I guess it's my MSU skepticism coming out in me, but it feels like too much Bulldog fortune has hit us.

2) While I'm excited about our chances next year, I don't quite get the Top 10 and Final 4 references. We were a team that squeaked into the NCAA tournament last year only by winning the SEC tourney. We add Sidney this year if the NCAA allows, and we're suddenly one of the best teams in the nation? Maybe this guy's the next Amare Stoudemire, but I'll have to see a little more before getting that excited. Either way, I'll be getting b-ball tickets next year.

Seinfeld, you really can't see why people think we are national contenders now???

1) Our frontline is NBA caliber and deep. Sidney is an allstar, there's no doubting that. Varnado has already proven his college dominance without another big man next to him, what do you think he will do now that he has help? This duo reminds me of Noah and Horford. Kodi Augustus is a major talent and started playing great at the end of last year, and now he is our third option down low, or possibly our small forward making this team incredibly long and athletic, because all 3 of those guys run the floor very well, and pass very well. I'm gonna assume that Reik is still only 70% or so......and I'm going to assume that he is only a 10-15 minute guy and a defensive presence to give Varnado a breather. But if he is anywhere close to 90%, he was the #1 center in 2008, he is a monster on defense with a 7 9" wingspan, and he can do some damage on the offensive boards. Bailey provides another bruiser down low.

2) Experience - We start a Senior, Freshman, Junior, Senior, and Sophomore (our sophomore was great as a freshmen and our freshmen has been a top recruit for 4 years)

3) Versatility - Can you even imagine the possibilities we have to go big (Varnado, Sidney, Augustus/Ravern/Osby, Stewart, Bost) or athletic (Varnado, Sidney, Turner, Ravern, Bost).

4) 3 pt shooters - We still have all of those 3 pt shooters, and now the defense will be drawn inside to deal with Sidney/Varnado/Augustus. We probably won't be down big all year, but if we are, these guys can bring us right back in it, and if we're in a close game, a 3 pt surge from them could put us ahead.

This team is legitimately 8 deep with talented players that should be starting, maybe even 9 if reik is any good. (Varnado, Sidney, Augustus, Turner, Stewart, Bost, Ravern, Osby, Reik).
