What a team that Pope and staff have assembled. Shocking quite honestly, to begin with only Travis Perry and to put this together in a short time.

Been saying this, he’s not that guy, a solid piece for sure, but he’s not like the end all be all difference maker some expect. Definitely helps that he knows the system and has had some success in it. He has never been a starter, on any collegiate team that I’m aware of. Maybe he starts this year though, plenty of guys improve, so time will tell.

Really glad to get him because he has offensive and defensive potential that probably only Oweh offers on the current line-up.
Also happy for Pope. This helps keep some of “Negative Nancy’s” away. My God some look for any sliver of negativity to tear people apart. He hasn’t even coached a game for heavens sake and it felt like people were lining up with pitch forks this morning. Crazy!!

Very happy that UK landed the 2 from BYU I was hoping Pope would bring with him. Robinson and Chandler. They were the 2 atop my list in that move and he landed both. Big time gets and putting together a very impressive shooting roster. The court will be open and should be fun to watch. Looking forward to it and in the situation Pope was in taking over roster wise--did a very impressive job.

Looks like reading comprehension isn't a strong suit of yours. Based on people here suggesting that he was strongly not wanting to come back to school, my suggestion of passing on him was correct. So if those rumors were true, then Pope most assuredly had that conversation with him as Mark is really trying to change the culture to something different than the one we had before where kids were coming here with one foot out the door.
