Return to play after ACLR is usually closer to 9 months, not 6. I would rather see him wait a little longer than return too soon and reinjure his knee. I'm curious to know if he had a modified Lemaire procedure or just a regular ACLR.
Thanks. I was wondering basically the same, if there were “degrees” of this injury that might affect recovery time.

I'm going to cry about all those losses in September. Us UK fans have it downright awful. We care so much about those September games. I just wish he could hit the 3 at a higher clip. Other than that I love the pickup
I'm not really sure what you mean by that, all I was saying is that the trust and ramping back up will have to occur in the dog days of the season and not preseason/non-con season games. But man, if that means a full on recovered and ready to roll JQ by Feb...sweet!

As long as we win! If he gets close to what he's capable of we will be terrifying next March and hopefully April!

This was something i voiced concern about towards the end of the season. Was glad to see him adjust even during the tournament. Our first two ncaa games we looked way better because we stopped stressing just shooting 3s.

We're definitely getting more physical. Now we just need some more shooters to open the lane for jq, oweh, etc.

They’re not going to rush him back . And with the roster we have, we won’t need to
If the staff isn't concerned I'm supportive of JQ.
I wish he didn't have an ACL issue at all but it is what it is. I wonder if he will be able to start the season with us?

OkAY this is either:
Our best pick up so far. Yay.
or
Huh. Someone with a bad knee that can maybe help us 2nd half of season but for right now will stop another prize big from committing.

JQ in the house!!
Is Pope still after Alvaro Foulgerais? Is he the 2nd superstar? His bio on Google talked about KY was a possible place for him to transfer to. Does getting Quaintance have an impact on Foulgerais? He seems to be a better shooter than JQ.

6”10 Bouncy long can dribble and pass and has some speed. Guys like this don’t come along often. He’s ours, he wants to be here, and fans should enjoy him. Coach kept us competitive with the best with a lot less talent. Top tier SEC schools are losing a lot and actually have to play catchup with us now… As it should be once again

He had the surgery five days ago, if he's sitting until January, he'll be next to no impact for next years team, way too much missing time.
End of march. And is already doing rehab. Expected back by September. Where TF are you getting January ? Oh, I know, from your negative mind. EVERY pro scout / college basketball analyst says he is a huge talent, force, athletic freak of nature. He is not being brought in to shoot 3s, he is being brought in to rebound, block shots, defend, use his elite athletic skills in the open court, and last but not least, dunk on fools, all things he does VERY well. Go drown in you misery somewhere else, go have wet dreams of AF lighting up Canisius or Stonehill. Not every player has to be a 3 point shooter, the last 2 years our season ended because we couldn't defend, rebound, and got bullied. Those days are OVA.

Alvaro is not a superstar. And this closes that door imo. Although others don't seem to think so.

Absolutely brilliant post, mate, seriously, brought tears to my eyes.

Big Boom.

Calculated "risk" vs reward for him coming back from ACL injury and being at 100% .... If he gets and stays healthy.... Goodness !

AF and yates would round everything out nicely. That's what I'm hoping for to finish this up. We're almost set.

We are going to be very tough to beat next year. With everything the other teams in the SEC are losing and trying to replace, we are sitting pretty right now.

I don't think JQ means we're not tight for AF. Would absolutely love to see AF and yates, if still possible.

If he actually plays. Big risk, and then there's his dad.
Another dumb post, lol, uncanny. His dad is very high on UK and very much knows the game, something you lack. I am curious though, what about his dad ? Please post it, I would love to read it. Some people around UK ALL speak very highly of "the dad", people who know a hell of a lot more than you. Both JQ and "the dad" was very respectful of UK and Pope after Cal left.

If Pope sold him on being Amari's replacement then he should have no bearing on Alvaro. Mo might be a replacement for Carr. Williams seems to be a replacement for Jax or possibly Brea. But really, we may not be replacing man for man. I love Pierre and would love to have him but he may not be necessary.

Auburn made Final Four with their starting center, Cardwell shooting 47% from the line …, just sayin’
Try 32%. Caldwell shot 32% from the FT line. 22/68.
Oh, and Florida won it all with Chinyelu shooting 58% and Condon 60%. FT% from the center is the least of our worries. In a close game, sub out. Not to mention I believe JQ will get better. Not like Amari or Brandon Garrison was Kyle Macy or Travis Ford from the line.
