Guess he was getting too many mentions and tweets from people telling him where he could shove his support for the head football coach.
I have it in good authority he hasn't tweeted since before the Ohio State debacle.

Is it towers on the hook for Flood's contract or is it RU? I thought he came up with funds for extra $ and years.

He's a jerk. Because of him, we had to self report an NCAA violation. He shouldn't tweet

I don't have a problem with him. He's a little more outspoken then you'd like but as I say, it takes all kinds. Some donors like to stay in the background and some are a little more vocal. So be it. You have to manage them all. I appreciate his support.

So he supports Flood, that's his right. I don't agree with it but he's entitled. You don't alienate your donors, specifically larger ones even if you may not agree with them. On this issue maybe you don't but on the next issue maybe you do. If you don't manage them and hear them out and listen to their opinions you could lose them completely. I've always said influence is a function of zeroes but it doesn't mean you alienate or disparage just because you may not always be in agreement.

Suppose he donates a few million to the athletic facility, will you like him then? As long as they're not doing anything really outlandish you have to keep everyone in the fold as much as possible otherwise opportunities to cross promote and get donations for places you can come together can be lost.

This surprises you? It shouldn't. The board is in it's usual attack everyone and everything remotely associated with RU mode. Add to that the jealousy thing and it's Katie bar the door time.

The program is in total meltdown mode, but yes it's the fans fault.

Since we're attacking everyone I'll throw in the guy who does the down marker. Seems so full of himself running up and down the sideline. And don't get me started about the lady who sells programs on the ramp leading to the 2nd deck. Just too pleasant for my taste.

Towers is the one who puts himself out there in press and makes threatening statements...that makes him fair game

Exactly.

I don't care how big your wife's checkbook is. If you're gonna speak on behalf of big donors--and be wrong, BTW--you're making yourself subject to criticism.

Let's see what his support is once his BFF is fired in 5 weeks.

He never once tried to defend the University, he defended Fludd and is using his donor status to try to influence his BFF's future status.

Katie bar the door? You are sure showing your age. :)

Meltdown? Seriously. You do remember that just last year we also lost big to schools of this caliber and in the end we went to a bowl and dominanted - most people thought it was a pretty good season. And that was with a team with alot more experience.

Meltdown is Nebraska - fired a winning coach and are having their worst season in forever. Or Illinois, who had to fire their coach for abuse. Or Indiana - who can barely seem to make a bowl (and lost to US - and we are a program in meltdown.)

The only garbage around here is RU people bashing university supporters. Really, people are bashing a guy via twitter who has given tens of thousands maybe more to the university. That's what I mean by get a life.

I don't have access to his mentions. Neither you or I have any idea why he protected his tweets.

I don't think anyone was bashing Jeff on Twitter...multiple people were were asking/begging about what was going on (myself included), but I do not think anyone blamed him for Flood's actions or anything for that matter...

Well then, I made an incorrect inference based upon email trail. My apologies.
