With all of those warm feelings maybe he would like to make a donation to our NIL collective. Or he could at the very least get on the phone with Cliff and tell him to come back for one more year . . .
Wholly positive and clearly a real fan of the program. Loved him as a coach, as an announcer, and now as a fan!
It’s kinda a BS article . Van gundy is talking out of his *** saying once we had success in the Atlantic 10 we moved to the big east . And once we had solid footing in the big east we moved to big ten . That’s all BS . We stunk the last few years in the a-10 and we really stunk In the big east . I guess people don’t care about facts.
I remember that he was the last hired for the staff. The negative reactions among the RU community were astounding – – nobody seemed to want him. But pretty soon, he he became the most respected staff member among the players.
I don't think it's BS as much as it is simply sugarcoating the situation. He didn't want to come right out and say we sucked and made some awful coaching hires.
I loved this article. I always liked Jeff and still do.
He was trying to say something nice. Not something to get all worked up about. Sounds like he has fond memories of his cup of coffee in Middlesex County

Met Jeff years ago (after he left the Knicks) when we were both having breakfast at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. Nicest guy, he was very interested in talking about Rutgers. Great coach and great analyst too.
