Tough first game against a good opponent. Two of the best players in the state for Rose. We’ll bounce back! I only root for one team, my alma-mater, who’s your school?

No clue. Heard he got thrown out but the radio guys didn’t say/see anything during the game. A 9th grader going in seconds into the game, in his first varsity game against that team was less than ideal. Rose jumped on every snap and the young QB could never get the snap count adjusted.
That will do it. I was told by someone who was there, Rose was getting to the line and running plays before NB was ready. Havelock influence there.
Yea it wasn’t the best matchup week 1 for the Bears, especially with the QB issue on top of the new system with King. Good learning experience.
Trust me when I tell you, when you find out what happened, you will be miffed.
If he did something egregious, bench him. But, I know our coach to be a strict disciplinarian.
I know the kid is a good one and a SR leader so I hate to hear that. He plays both ways and was sorely missed last night. Appreciate the info.

A NB coach said he was ejected from the game. If this is true, hoping the school contacts someone to get a statement on why the kid was ejected seconds into the game.
Yea, I guess just the 2 titles then the last 8/9 years. Plus the one where we beat ya boy. Whole lotta teams out there would love to have three 4A/4AA titles in that timespan. Ain't worried about last night, the 2007 title team also lost their first game. Losing your starting QB seconds into the game and starting a freshman QB week one is sub optimal. We'll bounce back. I saying he was avoiding a hit in a normal football play. No showboating/taunting at all.
A Croatan kid took the ball Friday night and spiked it down spinning it like a top. This was much more egregious than that dive and all he got was a flag.
Football is finally back and they throw a kid out for diving into the end zone week 1, minutes into the game. Hoping the school will receive some answers on this.
If he was diving to avoid being tackled, it will probably be overturned. If he was diving to show boat, probably will not be.
Doesn’t really matter now regarding the outcome but I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to throw a kid out of the game for diving into the end zone, for whatever reason. So if you dive, you get ejected and if you throw punches to another player, you get ejected. Pretty big difference there. Give the kid a warning and not an ejection minutes into a shortened season.
The rule as I heard was if nobody is within 20 yards of the runner, the defense was within 5. Should not have happened, flag at the most. Either way that doesn't lose the game for them tho. I said b4, a King coached offense week one with no film is a nightmare for anyone and NB is gon a have to do more than that triple option to continue to be successful at 4a..
Totally changed the landscape of the game. NB trotted a true frosh out there afterwards and the Rose D jumped on every snap. The Hamilton kid had 4 sacks and multiple ones where the QB couldn’t even get the drop back complete before he tackled the QB. We can crown King if you want but the fumble return for 80 yards, kickoff return for 75 yards, muffed kick off etc were killers for NB in the first half. Nowell wants to throw the ball more which is wildly known inside the program but we’ll see what happens this weekend when they get the SR QB back.
