They need Grobe to return some semblance of sanity and ethics to this toxic program. They will hire someone new for the 2017 season.

I'm almost wondering if Baylor just got the ol' SMU death penalty without even being placed on probation? Recruits and signees are bailing like crazy. New interim coach with only 3 months before the first game. Good luck recruiting to Waco with the prospect of sanctions hanging over your head. And Texas has an out in getting rid of Baylor if they ever leave the Big XII.

Yep...it's really weird isn't it how such a GREAT headcase...I meaning head coach keeps getting passed up for all these prime jobs...just weird I tell ya. RollingLaugh

There isn't a sane AD that wants anything to do with Pelini. With his baggage and then the way he blasted Eichorst on the way out the door, he's extremely toxic. He better be glad he's friends with the DeBartolo family or he wouldn't have the job he's got. Although their image rehabilitation efforts took a couple hits last season. Just Bo being Bo.

Grobe...what could have been, Osborne's first choice. I'm sure the tradition coalition would have been cool with his previous record as HC.

TO's credibility on head coaching hires after Solich and Pelini is not exactly "stellar". If he had Grobe (and later Chris Peterson) lined up only to be over ruled......well that is life in the Big City.

IIRC, the Grobe offer was contingent on keeping certain Callahan assistants and Grobe wouldn't go for that.
