Great announcer . Gonna miss him doing the NCAA and BIG tournaments . He’s been an iconic part of March for a long time.
It does seem like an odd announcement as he is still going to do the trophy celebration. He’s got two young kids at 63! Yikes !

I know I'm in the minority here, but I have always found Nantz ponderous. A few times in recent years, Verne Lundquist has been part of golf broadcasts in which Nantz was the lead, and it reminded me how a world-class announcer can call an event brilliantly without trying to make himself part of it or act like what he has to say is as important as the event. Nantz strikes me as a putz.
