So did I miss the Memo … apparently the talk was the young LBs, and LBs who are coming back was a huge positive.

This is why you don’t put any effort into development. There is no chance that many, if any, of these guys stick around. It’s free agency every year in every sport
Which is the reason someone at the top of college athletics needs to grow a set and put an end to this BS every 17-ing year having athletes ( not student athletes bc they aren’t that at the moment anymore) leaving for $$ or just for the hell if it.
What other sport where the players are paid is that allowed to happen?

I’m not writing any OL off after 2 years on campus. We’ve dealt with the ****** growing pains. I’d like to have the option to reap the benefits.
Correct. Who knows if this is his decision or the staff's, but we need to figure out a way to keep guys like this around.

It was his. He over vauled his worth. A loss, yes but not a huge loss. We can find a better prospect in portal James was a much better player than Lewis

He couldn't win a starting job and couldn't even touch the field end of the season on the worst line I've ever seen. He's who got blown up against TN to cause the fumble that beat us. He's was never going to be more than depth.

Jimothy needs a fresh start. He had a rough year and I hope he finds a good home where he can develop. We can't expect these young men to tough it out and fight through hardships anymore.

I'd love to know was he willing to move inside to guard? I think he could help us much better inside but is/was he willing to do that?

He needs a motor and a mean streak. He has neither and that's why he's not developing. He's not likely to find it elsewhere. Those are things only he can control.

I'm not an O line guru at all, but I think of guards as guys like Gabe Jackson. Not the tallest O linemen, like tackles, but big and thick and strong and mean. Road graders.

I don't see 6'6" Lewis being good in there. I suspect he just needs a little less skilled competition.

True, I don't know why we try. We should just give up and stop practicing altogether.**
