Per a friend of mine in Ocean Springs, Joe has cancelled his scheduled visit to State for this coming weekend. Instead, he will be visiting the University of Arkansas. Apparently, this has also been confirmed via his facebook page as well. I don't follow the facebook stuff and don't know about the accuracy of that info.

He says he's going to Arkansas this weekend. That's not good. I think now is the time to start worrying about this class.

Morrow is good, but we have a ton of WR's like Tobias pointed out, and I'm guessing Joe wants guaranteed PT this year or next year, and we might not be able to give it to him. But if we miss out on all of these WR's, I'm gonna be pissed. This is a bad sign for Dan and Company.

we blow out a team on NY Day, then everybody abandons ship. I can't take it anymore. Wake me up on signing day. If our class has fallen apart then, I expect Dan Mullen give give a public apology about talking so much smack about dominating the state in recruiting.

Looks like there is more cheating going on now than there has been since the days of Barry Switzer at Oklahoma. And we have the NCAA's to blame for its recent decisions to endorse certain means of cheating.

Won't happen. We'll have a bunch of geezers and blue hairs kissing his *** across the state at recruiting parties for bringing in another "great" class. ****, look at the excuses that have been flowing on here the past few days. This class is going to be turrible and we still get the "develop the 2 stars" BS.

....turning **** in. Not that the NCAA has done their job with that info...

I'm sure a lot of'relatives' are making out like bandits right now....without the knowledge of the recruits, of course.

Cause the last time we turned in a bunch of cheats to the SEC/NCAA it worked out great for us! Oh.... wait...

Look.. what's being done with Brassell, Singleton, CJ, Whitehead and Morrow is part of the game. Either we learn to play it or be content with sucking hind tit.

Payments/benefits are now so common, the recruits now have a sense of entitlement.

I suspect umiss and others are reminding recruits that the investigation into scam's recruitment is under way. Much doubt remains into whether state will come away unscathed. The potential remains that the NCAA will find stuff that leads to sanctions. Of course nutt's gonna use that.

I just can't relate to the thought process that recruiting is more important than the amazing turnaround our football program has seen in the last 2 years. It's not even Feb. 2nd yet. I'm going to wait and see how this all ends before I go getting too pissed off. In case you forgot, 2 years ago our football program was a pile of garbage that resembles our current basketball program. It's because of Mullen you can even be pissed off right now because we were to ****** for it to matter.<div>
</div><div>These guys that are having second thoughts or going elsewhere are all great talents, and the situation is concerning. But to get on here bashing and questioning Mullen at this point shows what a fool you are. I hope you get aids on your face.</div>

I thought we were playing the game and still wound up sucking hind tit? (See Jackie Sherrill and the two NCAA probations).

where we are going to be in line for sanctions are Auburn and TSUN message boards. We are the ones who sang to the NCAA/SEC about Cecil. If we cheated too, why would we do something that stupid?

Some of you people need to relax.

18 years olds aren't so rational. Because of that there is plenty of reason to panic.

It is a fact that winning games is more important than winning rivals recruiting ranking trophy. It is a disappointing situation, and I'm sure everybody wants to know what's going on, but it doesn't justify your bashing of Mullen.

He's nothing like anything we have on the roster currently. We need him badly.

It's a depth issue. Plain and simple. We don't have to sign these guys. No impact on 2011 season or the next. If anything, concern yourselves with defenders and lineman. This board is becoming miserable. Recruiting season turns too many of you into bitches. Until Ole Miss beats us on the field, who gives a ****? It sure as hell ain't happening this year.

I should always remember the historically impeccable logic of the NCAA in handling its investigations. There's no reason to be concerned about this at all.

As long as we are the last birders then we'll be fine. And yes I don't think there is a recruit that is at the very least getting something thrown his way.

why don't you contribute to the thread. What's your take on why a half dozen recruits have de-committed. Got anything to add? Or would you rather just pretend nothing's up?

you guys are bringing up. This guy is a tall , lanky outside receiver with average speed who can stretch the field . Theonly kind of guys we have had like thisin the past couple of years are O'Neal Wilder (who left ) ,and Chris Smith. He would probably come in, not have to redshirt, backup Chris Smith for two years with significant playing time, then start for two years. What we have too much of is the shifty, slot type - i.e Bumphis, Heavens, Carr,Clark

as a program over the past 2 to 3 weeks during a "dead" period in which we also made a NYD bowl trip and ripped Michigan a new one. Heck, I know Hudspeth and Diaz left but they both got chances to move up the ladder and its hard to blame them. Still shouldn't cause recruits to desert us like this. What the heck is going on? I mean now that Singleton and Brassell likely won't come with us it would seem Morrow would see a lot less competition as a freshman than he would have otherwise. And we don't have any receivers now with the physical stature of Morrow who I believe is like 6'4.

these 17 and 18 year olds are playing you and OEM and everyone else like Charlie Daniels' fiddle. And, as I just posted, we have plenty of evidence that Mullen can recruit and he sure as **** can coach. So why get so worked up about it 3-4 weeks before signing day? Typical negative State fan - taste success and then look for every reason why it's about to disappear.
