Being from the Bham area I would really like to see UAB be competitive. I thought the Callaway hire was questionable, but I really like this McGee hire. UAB needs some offense badly, and I think McGee can come in there and help them with that. There is some decent talent around the Bham Metro from schools like Hoover, Homewood, and Briarwood Christian that have great programs, but not always top D1 talent. If they cantap into thatevery year and supplement that with kids from other successful programs around AL, MS, and GA, I think they can be successful in CUSA. </p>

Unfortunately, he'll never have much support there. Alabama will see to that. They'll never allow them to accumulate a formidable fanbase like MSU/UM allowed Southern to do. Mainly because they won't play them AND they'll hold them down behind the scenes.<div>
