What the hell did these guys do to piss off Cohen? The few chances they've had to play, they've been pretty solid (to say the least). I cannot say whether or not they would be as good in SEC play, but I figured they would at least get some PT during midweek games.

I had forgotten all about Shelly.

I know he is just a freshman but with the woes we've been having you woulda thought we would see him.

Exactly.

Shelly has been awesome in his appearances. With some of our pitching woes, you would think he'd at least have faced a batter or two over the past few weeks. I cannot even remember the last time he pitched.

I thought the same. Since our defense sucks at 3rd anyway, we might as well put Flair there and tell him to swing as hard as he 17'n can.

Flair costs us the game at first against Central Ark (not LSU), and I don't think he's sniffed the lineup since. He can't be any worse than Norris at this point.

Don't know about JMS. Maybe it's just as simple as he's a freshman righty that a bit lost in the mix.

As we discussed last week, Cohen must put a lot of weight into practice performance.

Flair didn't even play in the LSU series, so I'm not sure how he cost us the first game. Frost cost us the 1st game.

I think that was Central Arkansas. He booted a routine ball at 1st. I don't see how the guy hasn't seen the field more, but it is what it is. I'm guessing he might not be giving 100% in practice (in Cohen's eyes), or something else behind the scenes.

Was that against LSU?

Regardless, the key phrase in your statement was "at first." Put him at third. I mean it can't be any worse than what's there now. We've got to at least attempt to have his bat in the lineup vs SEC squads.

You are correct. I had my series losses mixed up. There's been so many lately....
