His off the field issues are a nonfactor to me. Summlin isn't going to suspend him unless some real issues pop up (criminal investigation or NCAA) even the NCAA might be hard to see sitting him down.

He's going to put up unreal numbers as long as he stays healthy. He had 28 TDs last year, if he plays every game he'll have more than that this year.

I am going with C. However a bad slump for Johnny "I'll drink to that" Football would still be a good season for any other QB.

B. He lost his top wr, rb, and top ol. He'll still terrorize defenses but he lost too much to improve on his numbers. His off field problems won't affect his on-field performance.

My concerns about Manziel are what his team mates think of him and how much he tries to do on his own. I could see chemistry issues develop bc of his big head. I could also see him trying to do everything on his own and get hurt running too much.

He'll never have another season like this past year. He also will not go completely in the tank....unless it's the drunk tank! BOOM!!!1!!1

I'll go with between B & C as well, but probably closer to B. More interceptions or fumbles, but more rushing TD's and possibly more all-purpose yards.

My guess is his teammates don't have any problem with him. I don't think chemistry issues are going to be a problem at all.

He lost a NFL 1st round OT and a All-conference Center.
Jake Matthews is back at the other tackle and his little brother will start at center. Jake will be a Top 5 pick.
I don't see much drop off on the OL.
Mike Evans, arguably the best WR in the SEC is back and they have plenty of RB's to step up.
I don't see much of a drop off in the offense, if any.
Their defense could be where the problem for them this year..

I go with C. I calling the Bama syndrome! Floats along about the same until Bama hammers Johnny Football and from there it goes way down the tank!!

mainly C, but I can see a D not being too far away. Shades of The Honey Badger minus the weed as far as I know.

I think Tape/tendencies, a decrease in Oline talent, less weapons, and a whole bunch of plays last year could have turned into a disaster really easily. It's a fine line, and he got away with a lot of janky stuff throwing it. Couple pick sixes early in the year, getting nicked, pulling a hammy, strains, changes the deal a lot. Could he win a lot only throwing it?

I think Tape/tendencies,
I think this is going to be his biggest issue this fall. This time last year, no SEC defensive coordinator had ever really heard of him. Now they've got a whole off-season to decide how to defend him. He'll still have a very good year, but defenses are going to be a lot more ready for him this time around.

B

They have enough coming back to be able to hammer the have nots in the SEC but he will be less successful with the haves. I am thinking that he pads his numbers against the MSUs and Auburns.

Where the biggest difference for JFF this year may lie is in his ability to use all of his options on the field rather than try to do it all himself. I think that he had great awareness last year that passing set up running, running set up passing, and trying to do too much himself set up nothing. He would dink and dunk you until you dropped off and then he'd run on you like crazy. If he gets impatient in a game because they aren't keeping up offensively, then we will see him have a slump.

true, and to add to it I think last year with the great oline he only had early pressure very rarely. He had a chance to sit, and survey then run if he wanted. I think a quick rush will change some things if you are able to get that. Then there's the factor of how much kingsbury mattered to his success. I think there is plenty of tape to find tendencies like we said. LSU did the best job with him, and omu did a pretty good job getting him to turn it over. LSU was the blueprint, seem like he loves to run right. Make him run left some as it's harder to complete balls that way for a righty.

Bama has them early and I'm very interested in sabans game plan. I have a feeling saban will show everyone how to stop jff, but will anyone have the talent to do what bama does? Maybe lsu

I'm gonna go with C+. Not gonna have another year like last year in my opinion where he was their seemingly sole offensive production. I think Swope helped make him seem even better than he was at times. He still has talent on the field, but Swope was a freak at helping him extend some of those plays. I think he drops off, but not so bad that you question his starting job.

D is almost as likely because the kid is already a train wreck, but honestly it looks like he will have to murder someone to get suspended.

I'll take E - assaults a coach on the sideline, is kicked out of school, and signs with the Toronto Argonauts.
