How can they possibly be this bad at defense? One of their best teams(TCU) is in a shootout with ISU. Why? Because they can't play defense. Pathetic.
I'm glad we are in a big boy league.

They play up the video game numbers, but they fail to show how little success most of their QB's have at the next level. RG3, McCoy, Bradford, Tannehill, Young, etc, etc. All bunk.

Meanwhile Cousins, Brady, Brees, Wilson....all winners.

I know Baylor fans would like to think their team is going to win a NC, but not with their defense.

Nope, and especially when they actually have to face a defense. Which considering the B12, may not happen. If they get to the playoffs, a real defense is going to smack them down good.

Really nice to hear Nebraska fans actually like being in the BIG... A lot better then hearing the constant BIG bashing that some in your fan base love to do. IMO the BIG is far more physical league then the Big Twelve and it shows with all of the injuries through out the league. I actually am glad Nebraska is in the Big Ten!

The B12 is a league for teams that don't plan on being good as pros. It's also Texas owned, and that is one of their biggest problems. I despise it.

Yea the 2000 Northwestern team really showed Nebraska how much more physical the Big Ten was than the Big 12.

Glad to be in the B1G though. Much better conference with expansion than the Big 12 is today.

The Big 12 conference is better than the BIG conference. I hoped maybe you were joking and didn't actually think that the BIG was a "big boy conference". The BIG is arguably the worst power 5 conference.

Are you joking here? TCU who barely beat a terrible Minnesota team? ISU who got smacked down by Iowa? Baylor? Oklahoma? Texas?

Why are they better than OUR conference again?

So does the ACC.
So let's hear this brilliant reason as to why they are better. OSU, Michigan, MSU, could beat every team they have. Not a doubt in my mind.
You underestimate what actually having a defense can do. Minnesota alone nearly took down TCU and held them to a season low. You know, that team we just walked right over. I'd say that we'd take down most of the B12 teams pretty easily this year.

We go in, we stop making mistakes, boom, we win.

TCU and Baylor would likely score 70 against Banker's swiss cheese defense. Come back to the real world. Nebraska has 3 wins and 4 losses against unranked teams and now because of a win against fn Minnesota, you think Nebraska is all of a sudden good enough to beat two top 5 teams.

Yes, they're little 12 teams.

put down the crack pipe
Oklahoma has no defense, and is extremely inconsistent as usual. Look at the loss to Texas. TCU is injured up to the yang, and up until the last part of the game was having a very touch time with ISU, Baylor hasn't played anyone yet, they haven't played TCU, Oklahoma, or any of the 'top teams' in their conference yet. Look at their pathetic schedule so far. We have an offense that can score on anyone, especially if our QB is making good decisions. Our defense is better than advertised and will continue to improve once they learn the new system.

Have some faith, and quit riding on the jocks of the conference that f'd us over. F them, you're in the B1G now, have some respect. I guarantee you not one of those teams makes it to the big dance. I'd be surprised if any of them even make it to playoffs period.

B1G put a nice long knife in our back shortly after joining. AAU thingy ringing any bells?

Doesn't really relate to football does it? It's up to the University by the way to get themselves back into it. They've had how many years now to do it? It was more or less a challenge to catch up to the standards of this conference. It should have been priority number one by the academics administration to correct that.

Seth Russell at Baylor is the real deal. Better than any B1G qb.

I thought we were naming conferences with 4 teams ranked in the top 25, as if that proved that a conference was strong.
Doesn't a ranking in the top 25 actually indicate that the perception of that team, in real life, is that they are good enough to be ranked?

I'm so confused.

I operate in the real world. I have no allegiance to any team but Nebraska and I could not give two ***** about the rest of the teams in either conference other than if I have money on one of them on a particular day. None of this changes the fact that teams like Baylor and TCU would do unspeakable things to our defense. If we played Baylor, it would look very similar to how West Virginia did this past Saturday. Guys like Coleman or Doctson from TCU would just kill us. Denying that is denying reality.

Are you failing to see that the days of getting beat by 40 are over? You better go root for another team then. Again, let's see them play a team that actually emphasizes defense and see what they can do.

When he throws to teams that can't come up with schemes to stop him sure. How many successful QB's have done well in the NFL? How much hype surrounded them, and yet they fizzled? It's a system, systrm QB's rarely if ever, make it to the elite talks in the NFL.
Seth Russell is a systrm QB. Nothing more.
