I hope and feel you meant 2025...Pope said he gets evaluated in a few weeks to test asymmetry and strength, I think. I suspect we see him on the court in 2026, maybe late December.
i think he meant calendar of 26 or late december as in 5-6 weeks from now.I hope and feel you meant 2025...
Nope. Earliest is January. Will bet money he’s doesn’t play in DecemberI hope and feel you meant 2025...
When I was at UK (2 yrs for grad school), the 2nd year UK had this guy sitting out the whole season. He would come to Seaton Center often and shoot around on his own, while I'd be there playing in pickup games. The guy was 6'9 and had the worst 3pt shot, both in form and results (he probably only made 10-20% unguarded). 3 years later, he won a National Championship & over those 3 years he made 40% of his 187 3's. His name, Walter McCarty.Looks like he's been working on his set shot; looked a lot better as far as form than what I saw in clips from last year.
I don't have an answer but I do know he's been dunking for weeks. I'm not saying that he's supposed to have been dunking but he's still been doing it.Can he run at full speed ? Or jump and land on both feet ?
I don't know the vertical but I suspect it's a big number. What’s his wingspan and vertical?!?
I was messing around, that was always the metrics put forth during Cal’s regime.I don't know the vertical but I suspect it's a big number.
His wingspan was 7'3" last year, when he had just turned 17.
Better touch on that shot than last year for sure. His shot form looks good!
Trust me, I have that concern too. But I think the strength of this draft class may help us, he could slip to 15 if he doesn’t get on the court and remind scouts what he can do. Guess we’ll find out.Just a feeling--I bet we don't see him ever suit up in a UK uniform, the reward at the end of season is TOO GREAT for the gift now!
NBA doesn't draft doesn't draft on what you did now, they draft on potentialTrust me, I have that concern too. But I think the strength of this draft class may help us, he could slip to 15 if he doesn’t get on the court and remind scouts what he can do. Guess we’ll find out.
Again, if JQ does not play, he will be easily slip out top 15NBA doesn't draft doesn't draft on what you did now, they draft on potential
Look, if he can’t play he won’t get drafted. You have no potential if you have a bad knee and don’t play. Sure they draft on potential but the NBA wants to see it after the knee surgery not beforeTrust me, I have that concern too. But I think the strength of this draft class may help us, he could slip to 15 if he doesn’t get on the court and remind scouts what he can do. Guess we’ll find out.
Potential to have another knee injury.Again, if JQ does not play, he will be easily slip out top 15
Therr are guys who are playing now and also has potential
And if JQ does not play, he will only have "potential"
Amon is wrong but he’s a hater.Care to wager on that?
He would slip on the draft boards during the season, then he’d go workout for teams and all of a sudden he’d rise up again. But playing well during the season will no doubt get him drafted higher than good private workouts.Look, if he can’t play he won’t get drafted. You have no potential if you have a bad knee and don’t play. Sure they draft on potential but the NBA wants to see it after the knee surgery not before
But they also need to look to see where you're at, as far as we're turning back from an injuryNBA doesn't draft doesn't draft on what you did now, they draft on potential
