Read on KSR that JQ has grown two inches this summer and put on fourty pounds. He’s gonna be a monster if he gets healthy.

It was a really large ACL they inserted to replace the old one.Surely most of that weight came from being still during his acl injury. I cant imagine his playing weight will be +40lbs from last time he played. That wouldnt be good for that knee
My son had the same type of injury a year ago and he gained a lot of muscle by lifting weights. He only lost .1 in his 40 speed and he’s doing great in football. He’s wearing a heavy brace and the doctor only says he has to do that because he doesn’t come off the field (plays offense and defense and special teams). I would expect JQ to be even better off because of the resources available to him.Surely most of that weight came from being still during his acl injury. How long was your son's recovery time?My son had the same type of injury a year ago and he gained a lot of muscle by lifting weights. He only lost .1 in his 40 speed and he’s doing great in football. 40 lbs
If true, that might be a lot for his injured knee to deal with. I'm no doctor but that sounds weird to pike on such a knee injury and surgery.40 lbs could be good or bad
The Barry Bonds workout diet would do it as wellhaha there's only one way to gain 40 lbs in one summer.

He just turned 18 less than 2 months ago. 1.5 inches would add to his weight too so that's some of the 40.There is no way this kid grew almost two inches and gained 40 lbs since getting here. No way in hell. Unless he’s wearing high heels and just got really fat from butter.
It's not even been 6 months yet since his surgery.JQ not even cleared for no contact activity. It's mid September, doubt we ever see him on the floor.
I’m not ready to go quite that far, but this was very much predicted by some here when JQ committed.JQ not even cleared for no contact activity. It's mid September, doubt we ever see him on the floor.
Sure looks like he's doing no contact workout in the thread above posted today.JQ not even cleared for no contact activity. It's mid September, doubt we ever see him on the floor.
Rob always has cutting edge info.I hope he stays healthy. IMO hes the leader of the team next season as I have heard from the Rob Bromley discord Otega is 100% leaving after this season.![]()
He was cleared for full speed and contact 6 months from surgery, which was the first day of spring football practice. He had been running straight line and cutting but no contact for 6 weeks prior. The surgeon put him on some supplements which helped the healing process. His last visit will be just after football season ends and the surgeon expects him to play basketball without the brace. I would expect JQ to be ready to go around 6 months after his surgery, because I doubt his injury was any more severe than my son's was (completely torn ACL which was reconstructed from another ligament, meniscus torn in 4 places, strained MCL, and a little damage to his upper lower leg bone). My son is very blessed that he's even able to play at all.How long was your son's recovery time?

Pope said he is hopefully on the court in mid to late November.Updated source? We were told a while back that he should be good for non contact around now and then 5 on 5 come October. If I recall. Still 2 months from the start of the season so a lot of time.
