The House should immediately move to impeach Judge Talwani. She usurped the power of Congress today. She told Congress they could not reverse by legislation a spending program that Congress had previously established.

The complaint is phrased as if the Trump Administration is to blame, and this is simply pushback against POTUS overreach.

But this is a Congressional statute.

Her TRO directing that she dictate disbursements from the Treasury, not Congress, has no legal rationale offered -- none.

It is simply a naked power grab by her.

Impeachment by the Judiciary Committee should be fast and simple. Then send it over to the Senate.

Force the Senate Democrats to save her.

Force the Chief Justice to preside over her trial.

seems as if the real threats to democracy are these judges who interpret the law through a political lens

Blatantly ignoring recent Supreme Court rulings, Boston Obama Judge Indira Talwani pretends Congress doesn’t have the power of the purse anymore.

She actually ruled it’s unconstitutional for Congress to stop sending money to Planned Parenthood.

And she doesn’t even have the power to decide this.

The Court of Federal Claims—not an activist district court—is where aggrieved federal contractors must go.

The Supreme Court must use the emergency docket to end this Democrat judicial sabotage of American voters.

Not only of the Executive Branch.

But now even Congress.

This mis-represents her ruling which only asked for a 14 day pause on further construction in response to a lawsuit filed by environmentalists and native Americans. She explicitly said she was not blocking immigration enforcement so DeSantis is threading the needle by saying Operations are ongoing when she didn't even stop immigration enforcement.

That's illegal and unconstitutional, but we know you don't care about America, you care about Your God Trump.
these days it seems as if everything republicans do is either unconstitutional or a threat to democracy. But somehow, the democracy continues and appeals courts overturn the "unconstitutional" decisions of lesser court judges.

But, in this instance, I think you're right. Our elected officials should not decide to ignore judicial decisions. We have a process, might be cumbersome but it's worked for 250 years so it likely will work for 1 more.

Now in a little bit of different direction, some lower courts seem to have taken a tack of defying previous supreme court rulings. This was called out by Justice Gorsuch recently, and seems to be happening more frequently. If there's a threat to democracy, this might be it.
