Did not see her on the field. Kind of warm for such a heavy jacket. She looks pensive.

She wasn't at KF postgame press conference. Does anyone know if she usually attends the post game press conferences?

If she gets fired over this , I would feel sorry for her. The cards were stacked against her from the start. It wasn't a fair situation at all. Essentially she could get fired for the covert, underhanded tactics of Flood. Someone whom she was forbidden from firing every single year she was Rutgers AD. It's a no win situation for her.

If I had to guess her thoughts based on that picture, it would be something along the lines of "why, oh why, did I ever take this job?" Or, perhaps, "please fire me, please fire me, please fire me..."

Sort of True but not exactly. Yes she did want to get rid of Flood, but RU's two biggest donors turned their backs on her. When she turned to Barchi.... Well, you know what Barchi told her. Yes it does suck you are 100% correct. But at the end of the day this administration is toxic to the very people it should be supporting.

This is just sad. She isn't getting fired for Flood's losing & missteps. She'd be fired for mishandling drug testing & other disciplinary issues, none of which would've been avoided if she fired Flood in 2013 & hired Mullen or Franklin.

If she gets thrown under the bus to save Flood it would be a real disaster, and a bonehead move. People have been gunning for her since Day 1, and Flood is the one who drove the football program into the ground. I know everyone on this board hates her and wants her gone, and I don't want to start with the TP obsession here, a guy who single handily put us in this situation.

Anyway, my fear is that she goes and Flood gets to stay which will probably extend his stay beyond next year until the AD situation gets sorted out. This would just be a terrible situation for RU. I know she is not the most media savy and personable person but she has done a decent job at fundraising and so far her hires have been successful, it sucks that KF is going to take her down. I was hoping she would have gotten a chance to be successful, but who knows who we will get next. Considering, we ran the last two ADs out of town, I don't see anyone jumping at the opportunity here.

She was not prepared for this role. Perhaps should could grow into it, but that was never great odds. NJ is a hectic quagmire. You need a boss.

She wanted to but donors didn't want to foot the bill and school didn't want to have anything to do with it. Where is the money supposed to come from? Out of her own pocket?
One could argue that she failed to make a strong enough case to the donors involved and/or failed to bring other donors on-board. In any case she failed to raise the funding needed to pull it off. The manner in which it was handled, leaked and the ultimate result was a total botch job that made her and RU look out of their league.

Hopefully, the next game at HPSS she attends will be on her own dime.

And Julie, you can't afford RED RUTGERS outerwear? Visit Scarlet Fever or give me a call. Come get some!

Julie, you broke my heart. You broke my heart.
Why do they hug? Is it because Julie is a woman? Or is it a program love thing where he and pernetti would hug too?
If the former, that's just stupid. Respect is a firm handshake.

While I believe Barchi has brought some of this on himself, I am beginning to understand that he probably did not sign up to spend this type of time on the university's athletic program. I am certain he is more directly involved in difficult personnel decision in this department than any other in the university. The medical school has involved a bunch of hires to new created lead positions. From Mike Rice forward the athletic program has been nothing but a head ache. Let's face the guy has a couple of crappy days ahead of him regardless of how he handles this.

I read this on the internet several times. How do you know this to be fact ? Can you provide a news link from a reputable source ? Until then as far as I'm concerned it's simply internet speculation and rumor advanced by those that have taken a liking to her.

I think Julie is just a "hugger" in general. Part of her personality.

I once gave a former colleague the exact same hug when she got canned. Just saying...
