"Marcus Lattimore down again. Right knee this time. Just awful."

I don't get it? He said it's awful, and saying he should have been able to go pro. What's the issue?

He is using the Lattimore injury to pump up his own opinion and his site.

Last year when Lattimore was injured, I argued NFL's age restriction was a huge moral issue. It still is.

If your career can end on any play, you should have the option to go pro whenever you want. Period.

Again, I'm not saying you have to leave after freshman year, but not having the option is immoral. NFL should have to answer for it.

So what? It's their money. "Blowing" money is good for economy. RT

I read his twitter feed. What do you have a problem with? Or what did I miss? All he said was that this is the reason he wishes players could be "one and done" in football.

....what's wrong with that? I don't agree with it because football is a different beast, and players aren't going to be physically developed to play in the NFL that early, but... I really don't see what's wrong with his thought process.

I think it's ******** to do it right after the guy is injured.

He can still make the same point later in the weekend/week. He talks about schools taking advantage of the players, and he's doing just the same thing.

Shouldn't that be up to NFL Teams as to whether a player is physically ready?

Many players aren't and the NFL would not draft them. But Lattimore was ready and now his career is over.

I don't know.... If he's really impassioned by this and is disgusted to see someone's career crash and burn before it could get started... then I can see why he may feel that this is a good time to say it.

If he's only piggy backing on the injury to try to pimp hits on his site, then I'd be more inclined to agree with you. As it stands, there's not enough to make me think he's doing the latter.

I have never seen a high school player that is physically capable to compete on a pro level. Never. Unless the NFL had a top notch developmental league, then I'd be more inclined to agree with you.

Why does that warrant a "17 you" to him? That's a completely legitimate opinion to have, and I share it.

Agree. I think it's pretty rare for a 19 year old to be legitimately ready for the NFL, but if a team wants to sign one, it should be allowed. Freedom and all that.

Have you ever read anything he has written? He is absolutely piggy backing.

Just because he can be an *** doesn't detract from the fact that he's usually right...

I didn't know anything about the guy till you made the thread. If you dislike him so much... why do you keep up with him?

I only agree that the businesses should be able to hire them after high school. If they want to hire them only after three years of college, then I am fine with that too.

Who cares if he is pimping his site (which he didn't reference, btw). Lattimore got brutally hurt. And his point is valid whether you agree or not.

he didn't piggyback anything. He was genuinely upset about the injury and stating his opinion about leaving early for the NFL. I read everything he says, don't like all of it but so what? I choose to read his comments. If you don't like him, click that "unfollow" button.
