Just back from the game, my observations...

I live in Orlando, and my wife was overserved at the UF tailgate, so we had to leave at in the 3rd quarter, thus my observations come quickly on the heels of a great win in the swamp....

1) Bin Griffin whatever stadium is a ********. This was my 3rd trip and I sat on the home side, good seats, and you needs a shoehorn to get in and out of your seat.
2) Florida has 2 lousy jumbotrons, which are one step better than ours in the north end zone, and the whole game you basically want to point to the damn things and ask the UF fans around you "how the hell are we supposed to watch the replays on that?"
3) The UF fans are in total meltdown. They were screaming at Relf to throw the ball. They kept yelling that MSU can't throw the ball. At some point one of them observed that we may not need to throw the ball. I kept quiet.
4) There was a lot of hot *** at the game. Which was impresssive. But the stadium, the campus, and the entire town of Gainesville, is a ********. It is a south georgia **** pit.

I'm not real sure why b/c he's never going to be confused with Joe Montana.Gotta give Herm Edwards some props for his comments. He kept saying things like "Mississippi State wants to impose their will on Florida's defense and eat up the clock". He was right on.

back more than once without scoring. Imposing one's will means scoring. Our D won this game as much as the O. We did push them around with our lines.

that Florida's offense has not won a game this year. If you look at their wins it is because the other team made mistakes and turned the ball over to the Florida defense. I honestly believe Mullen decided he was just going to run it down their throats until they went ahead or tied it and then we would get more creative and take risks. He never had to do that...

All I know is this win is sweet! I keep going back to Meyer's remark last year when asked about Mullen and Mississippi State.

He said something like this. "Mullen is a good coach but you can't win without players."

One year removed, and are the players really that different?

Dan did just like that conservative card player in a holdem game. He justed waited and waited and was in it at the end.
