He didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Usually with non contact freak fractures like this there is an underlying abnormality of the bone, like a bone cyst or tumor.Possibly out for the season because he needed to showboat to his dugout rounding the bases on a HR.

Yep. Video of injuries can be gruesome. I can't remember the name of the South Carolina running back that had the career ending knee injury several years ago, It was just awful.Maybe so. I wish you hadn't prompted me to relook at it, because the actual injury is obvious and ugly.
