That was my sophmore year or second freshman year, whatever, and I seem to remember sucking in footballabout that time. So I'm thinking I dont want anything to remind me of that crap.

Just imagine 25 years from now someone starts going crazy for our 2004 unis.

Is there ANY way in hell you are going to be able to get past it reminding you of Horrible football?

but we didn't suck. We beat Tennessee and Syracuse that year. We sucked the next few years. <div>
</div><div>Edit: Judging by posts on this board I'm in the minority here, but I don't think a uniform color has ever caused a win or a loss.</div>

and with a bowl game on the line in the egg bowl, we were beaten senseless if I recall.

Those uniforms also seemed to be in place for the tech and ten year.

I dont think uniforms create winning or losing. But they sure as hell remind you of it.

Perhaps Jackie's uniforms for the first couple of years. Or the 1980 uni's would be acool tribute.

The Ole Miss game was the only one that was unexpected, even though that was a Brewer team that was one of the dirtiest in the history of college football. Alabama, LSU, and Auburn were very good teams. In retrospect, that season was very similar to this one. We beat the teams we should have beaten, including UT, Syracuse when they weren't a joke, and a 6-5 Florida team.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div>

can we bring back the single bar helmet or can only Morton and Gary Anderson wear that now.

I bet you would see less helmet to helmet, and that could only help today's game.

Rick Cleveland said they looked like a girls softball team, and when we started out 6-1 in 86, part of the reason was the new uniforms.

for that very reason. You wouldn't see hardly any of these dangerous helmet-to-helmet hits you see now. I think the idea isn't nearly as crazy as it first sounds. Not sure if I'd go so far as to agree with it though.

I liked the silver pants. But didn't care for the all the stripes on the helmet, around the numbers and sleeves of that uniform. Our best uniform would be today's helmet with the jersey and pant of 91-95.

Once again, just another excuse for a 80s Egg Bowl, but wasn't there a monsoon before/during the 86 Egg Bowl? Seems like I remember standing water all over the field. Which negated the speed and cutting ability of Don Smith. Which killed any offense for us.
