WOW. That is as loud as I’ve ever heard it at Scott Field. The whole dang game. The place wasn't full, but those who were there brought their A game. The STUDENTS especially showed out. They were packed in like sardines and were into the game the whole way. The new sound system is basically unintelligible….but damn it’s loud. It helped. That was as good of an atmosphere as you will see. The only ones that I have been at that I can think of that were better were A&M and Auburn in 2014. THE CROWD ENABLED THAT WIN, make no mistake about that. We did some boneheaded stuff down the stretch but made up for it at the end. The place just exploded.

MSU 6 Bama 3. I was there when we beat the Bear, so no matter how great tonight was, I can't imagine anything better than 6-3

I brought ear plugs just in case and I used them for the first time after the noise was getting to me. It was great. And still rung my cowbell!!

I can’t tell you how much of a difference the new LED light system made in the atmosphere. It was absolutely epic when the lights went dark or flashed or they put the state logo on the field. The fireworks and light show along with the music before the fourth quarter started was amazing, as well as the lights and music at the 2-minute warning. I know some of y’all didn’t care for the LED lights, but they are awesome and added so much to the experience.

The game day additions to the stadium were all pretty incredible. The spotlights, the spinning script “State”, the smoke blowers in the student section. I loved all of it. If you have epilepsy you probably need to avoid our games though. 🤣

When I was a student, I hit a dude in the head with mine when it broke off.
Man I had a clanger come loose during a game when I was in high school. It scared the crap outta me so bad. I kept looking for a dead guy I hit in the temple. If anyone was sitting near Keifer McGee's family during that time and took a hit, I'm sorry:)

Was the FMB pregame show exactly the same?
Pregame is largely the same year after year. It's the most traditional part of the band's repertoire. It is a lot different now than in the late 80s/early 90s, but the pieces are still there: Hail State, Go State, State Spellout, Madelon, National Anthem, make a tunnel for the team to run through, etc. That very first note of the opening MSU Fanfare is my favorite moment. I will never forget being hit by that wall of sound the first time I saw the Famous Maroon Band in my youth.

The party atmosphere between the 3rd and 4th quarters was unexpected and much welcomed. The place was electric.
