Prayers going out to the family and especially the little girl who was inside. Can not imagine the devastation or the person who caused such terror.

apart and that little girl will be tortured for her whole life with the things she saw/heard last night. All for what?? Some low life trash that placed as much value on the Price's life as a pile of dog crap.....presumably trying to steal something. This world is in bad trouble...

a motion detector system that can be put as far out toward the perimeter of your yard as possible and a chime that goes off when something sets off the detector. That and a lot of guns.

I have a neighbor that has a dog that barks when a cricket farts 100 yards away. As bad as it can be sometimes, no one will gett anywhere near our houses without one hell of a ruckus.

and if they convict

and if they get the death penalty

the criminal will see his/her maker in about 10-15 years maybe longer.

My hope is ... forget it. What I would like to see is not worth putting into words.

Ron and Amanda are members of Hillcrest Baptist in N.A.

The authorities are calling this a home invasion. Also, I'm hearing different accounts about Ron's injuries. The link said Ron was treated and released, but I'm hearing Ron had surgery at TMC and was in stable condition.

It was an obvious attempt at theft. It may have actually been the garage or another attached building. The woman came out and caught him either in the garage or other building. However it was not the only theft that night. What may help catch this POS is that he was breaking in cars and possibly other garages last night. The coach is now out of hospital and back home.

They are really annoying when you know they are barking at something stupid, but they give me more peace of mind that my mom will be safe then any alarm system.

my old man kept our deer bow target in the front yard. Multiple times a year he'd get up on the roof and shoot the hell out of it while people were heading to the apartments down the street after work. We had a lot of folks walk our street at that time too. So, I'd be retreiving the arrows as he shot. The word got out real fast around the neighborhood that we were nuts and it wouldn't be a good idea to come near our yard. Our street alone had6 breakins and two elderly women were attacked in the last couple of years we lived there. Our house was always left alone.

He also put up some fake home security signs in the yard and on all of our windows. My dad didn't have the cash for a real system. We also had a dog that was in a kennel in the backyard and he was mean as hell. My dad would let the dog drag him around the yard on a leash during the same high traffic times. I think that helped too.

Many years and dogs ago, I had a 1/2 Siberian, 1/2 Wolf combo. She loved me more than anything on this earth. I once had someone take off the screen to an open bed room window one night (while I was there) but for some reason never made it in. Another time (pre dog), someone broke in and drank ice tea and generally just made a mess. Anyhow, I was working second shift when my wife called me in a panic about someone being outside. I told her to turn the dog loose. Now mind you, the wolf dog was NOT a barker. Never made a sound, ever. But was very territorial.
Anyhow, wife called the cops and turned the dog out. She said it was like watching a heat seeking missle. Dog took the guy down by the *** cheek, cops showed up and got the kid.
We never, I repeat, never had a problem ever again. Word got out I guess that there were other homes that were easier.

I have two dogs, an alarm system, and enough guns and ammo to fight off anyone for half an hour...
