Just realized that we did the same ish against Umass

Finally brought myself to rewatch last play and it struck me I've seen this before. 5 seconds left against Umass we let them move the ball complete unimpeded to half court before playing D. This was even worse though because we left them ROLL IT.

The UMass ending was similar, but the game played out more like the recent Penn St game in reverse. Rutgers led UMass by 12 at the half and by 13 with 11:30 to go but UMass gradually cut the lead.

Lesson is the same. You can't concede half the court in that situation. Make them fight for every inch. Even though we lost the OSU game we did it right and forced the guy into a deep off balance low percentage prayer. He just happened to make it.
