Just saw the away uniforms....

Major upgrade. Couldn't snag a pic but I feeling they will be unveiled very soon.

Top to bottom:

The Maroon helmet that was at the first press conference. Maroon helmet and facemask with new logo.

White top with maroon piping where the stitching is around the shoulder pads is. I would say it is about a quarter inch thick. It says Mississippi State above the numbers like this -

Mississippi over the State.

Numbers look a lot like Virgina Tech. Very sleek looking.

The pants are also white with a Maroon Denver Broncos like stripe that goes from the knee to the arm pit.

We have white/maroon/black shoes that will be interchanged as a team. As in everybody wears the same color.

They look a lot better than what we have had. Didn't get a look at the home uniforms.</p>

I am curious as to how the mississippi over the state will look. And I hope it's like what I have below. Well I had the State centered under Mississippi but it's not showing up that way.

why then can we see the outline when it is on a maroon helmet? is it a shade of darker maroon outline than the helmet.

My first impression of what you described is that the uniforms sound like they will be terrible. It sounds like we've gone from one extreme (boring crappy uniforms) to another (tacky piping that it fitting for C-USA schools).

Oh well, as long as win........

for a possible idea of how the Mississippi State wordmark would look. Adidas designed that a few years back when they took over hoops, at the request of former basketball SID David Rosinski, who thought if the team was going to have success, they needed Mississippi State above the number rather than Mississippi above the number and State below.

If that is what they are going to call it. This isnt just a CUSA thing anymore, it is just modern. Michigan has the piping on its navy unis (which are Adidas by the way). As someone mentioned earlier, other examples are V-Tech and Miami. Arkansas has a modern look. I could go on and on. As long as it is subtle, it still looks good.

South Carolina has them too. I actually think schools are trending away from the piping stuff. Virginia Tech is moving away from the piping and is wearing more
traditional jerseys. Duke went to those same type of shoulder stripes a la the Colts.

I know most of yall didn't like the Madkin era "Miss State" uniform because of the wording, but I thought it was damn good for a uni with only one color besides white. It's tough to have a good uni with only one main color, but for the sake of y'alls appearance, I hope you don't adopt the gray pants some people have talked about. That would look like turds.

I knew it was one of the Michigan Unis. I actually think those Madkin jerseys had black incorporated in there too. I think there was a black stripe in between the two white stripes on the shoulder. I just want to see the damn things.

Or I wish someone that has seen them would tell me how close the prototype I did above is.

but the stripe wraps tighter under the arm. It is the exact same size as the one on the Michigan jersey you have there. Same style.

Keep in mind the Bronco like strip that runs from the pants up. They look sharp in my opinion. A MAJOR upgrade.

Most State people I know like the Madkin era uniforms.

I would say that the Croom era uniforms were by far the most unpopular.

i agree...and i would say that besides the helmet logo, i have a feeling that these new ones will my favorite yet.....croom's uniforms looked alot like his offense, boring....and those tube socks to top things off, in this day in age, it almost looked comical, like we were trying to look like a 70's will ferrell sports movie.

That is pretty much what they look like. A few differences but that is very very close. The stripes/piping wraps around the shoulder and is not as wide. See the "Utah" above the numbers? It says Mississippi State and State is centered under the Mississippi.

Combine the Michigan uni's and Utah's and you have ours. Keep in mind I have just seen the away uniform. I assume the home one is very similar but I am not sure.

I think maroon jerseys/white pants at home and white jerseys/maroon pants for the road, unless the side stripe changes color at the waist. I've always thought that looks incredibly stupid.

Thanks for the info. Is it a gray or maroon strip going down the side of the unis to the pants. Also, isn't there supposed to be gray in the helmet and outlining the numbers?
