Let's hope we don't waste his Jr year like we did Slay

Believe Cox will be here as an EE, so that should help in comparison with Slay. Based on what I've seen watching the free EMCC live feed online, he can name his position for us and start from day 1. Don't see many dbs all over the field making plays to the same extent as this guy. He's got a motor that runs wide open all the time. Can't wait to have him in maroon and white!

Better yet let's hope his family is sequestered from sitting next to some of our ****** fans.

Can't believe this is near the bottom of the page. Huge Pick up, and great time for some positive football news. Anybody got a link to a video? I've heard great things but haven't seen him. If no video, can someone that's seen him do a break down of what he looks like, how he plays, who he reminds you of? Thanks

He's incredible in run support from the safety position... at least he has been in the games I've seen. He's underrated as a low 4*. Yancy has(allegedly) been telling the flock for awhile that he's a 5* talent but a State lock, so take that for what it's worth(as 3rd hand info)...

Thanks engie. Very impressive. I liked his tackling ability, he knows to go low and leave no doubt. Wish he could play yesterday for us.

let's add rumph, shumpert and zadarius smith and this class is stacked.....

already ranked 17 with just 20 commitments. we have won the state and dandy dozen, and have signed an elite qb. if what i hear is correct, we're about to commit even another qb just in case sandberg goes pro - which he's actually more fired up about msu baseball than football, so i expect him in starkville. not to mention 4 solid OL in this class...always a good thing. and a freakish athlete in chris jones at DE or DL.

at this point tony conner and andrew billings would just be gravy. fill the rest in with the best athletes we can find.

Assuming we don't lose any current commits, and don't forget Shumpert.

regardless of what the emotional random fan thinks.....

recruits don't really care about short term success or failure. ole miss signed their 2011 class after a craptastic season. same with us in 2009. you'll get SOME recruits to buy in due to early playing time in that regard, but you really start getting looks from serious prospects when you show you can win over the longer term, like we're doing. 2 bowl years in a row is paying off with the solidity, from top to bottom, of this class.

no one game here or there is going to influence this. at the end of the year we'll have been to 3 straight bowls. that's all recruits will think about. this TAM game will be ancient history.

That is where the recruits are smarter than the message board posters. In 7 days, some posters have gone from WE BELIEVE, to WE BELIEVE WE WILL NEVER WIN ANOTHER GAME. The highs and lows with some people are incredible.

This, and these kids play ball as well. 99% of them don't go undefeated. They know that teams are going to lose games.
