He's incredible in run support from the safety position... at least he has been in the games I've seen. He's underrated as a low 4*. Yancy has(allegedly) been telling the flock for awhile that he's a 5* talent but a State lock, so take that for what it's worth(as 3rd hand info)...
already ranked 17 with just 20 commitments. we have won the state and dandy dozen, and have signed an elite qb. if what i hear is correct, we're about to commit even another qb just in case sandberg goes pro - which he's actually more fired up about msu baseball than football, so i expect him in starkville. not to mention 4 solid OL in this class...always a good thing. and a freakish athlete in chris jones at DE or DL.
at this point tony conner and andrew billings would just be gravy. fill the rest in with the best athletes we can find.
no one game here or there is going to influence this. at the end of the year we'll have been to 3 straight bowls. that's all recruits will think about. this TAM game will be ancient history.
recruits don't really care about short term success or failure. ole miss signed their 2011 class after a craptastic season. same with us in 2009. you'll get SOME recruits to buy in due to early playing time in that regard, but you really start getting looks from serious prospects when you show you can win over the longer term, like we're doing. 2 bowl years in a row is paying off with the solidity, from top to bottom, of this class.
