He’s transferring from Georgia... so, Oklahoma definitely has to be on his list right?

I doubt it, we have a 5 star coming in, Fields will have to sit a year, no way he wants to compete for a starting job again. He will find a team that has a senior starter

Guess he has seen two transfers win Heisman’s back to back....and is sold. If it is Fields and Haselwood....that would be a pretty good package with Weese Lamb and Calcaterra/Morris.

I'm not so sure. My preference is we find another QB in the 2020 class. We don't need disruption on QBs. Do we really want a QB that bails at his first sign of having competition. Haselwood would be a good get, but we are pretty loaded at the WR slots.

Personally, I don't trust kids who sign and then bail out their first year.

Some good points, Roy.
It can be said however, that OU hasn’t done too poorly with the last two QB transfers.

I would love to see Fields at OU, and I'm sure he'd do well under Riley's coaching, but I'm not sure his ego may not let him to sit out a year. Sports radio in ATL has reported that Fields' dad has been a pain in the butt to the coaches about his son's lack of playing time. So, there might be an issue with Drama Dad to take into consideration as well.

Right. Both Baker and Kyler were kids that bailed after the first year. That didn't turn out half bad, did it? :(

I wasn't thinking about Baker and Kyler when I posted that thought. I was thinking that we have Austin and Tanner with Rattler coming in this Fall. We don't have a 2020 QB committed and there has been no recruiting info suggesting we are even close to getting one.

I was just thinking about continuity at the QB spot. We bring in Fields and there goes Kendall. If, Fields were to transfer and then win the starting job where are we with Tanner and Rattler. Kids are just to fickle these days and to antsy for immediate playing time.

I trust Riley to make the right decision. My guess is that he likes the guys he has on campus.

Report I read today was that Ohio State is leading for his services. Dont they have a 5 star guy waiting to take Haskins spot?
