I've had several favorite MSU basketball players over the years (Slam Cam, Darryl Wilson, Derrick Zimmerman) because they all played hard and generally cared about MSU. So at the begining of this year when JV came back and vacated his scholarship he immediately vaulted himself to favorite status. And now today I read him say "I kind of wish we (weren't) ranked, because every time we're ranked, we always lose.". Finally a player knows what we all feel! I don't want to hear how this is "expecting to lose" because if he guaranteed a win you would be blasting him just as bad. Congrats to JV saying what the average State fan expects. We love being underdawgs and this year maybe we'll sneak up on people like we did in '96.</p>
