It's wrong if he really is but I mean did he really think all of America would agree with his stance to kneel
I'm sure he didn't. That's why he did it, to get people to disagree and to start a discussion. Are you saying that if you disagree you should make death threats?

Poor baby is so oppressed with his millions of dollars and a job that pays him to travel, exercise with the best of the best, be on TV, and a billion other perks. Eff that guy. No one said he didn't have to work to get there but the fact that he could and did is the beginning and the end of the stupidity of his bs whining. Spoiled prick wouldn't know adversity if it bit him in the @$$.

Best thing everyone could do, media included is to ignore the little pompous *** and he will fade into oblivion.

You ever get over to the nat'l board? Started posting there a little. It could use some common sense people. Link

All the time back in the day - both bball and football. Used to be the place for the most reasonable discussions and everyone policed their own homers.

Lots of good, honest info on other teams.

In the last 5 years they have been overrun by the youngin's who think its funny to constantly stir things up. Many good posters have long left.

Men who faced real oppression like Jackie Robinson and Hank Aaron faced it with dignity and maturity. Real death threats, real oppression and racism and yet performed at a HOF level. Those were men. I couldn't possibly fathom what they faced and went through. Much better men than myself.
Fast forward to this guy. Adopted by white parents, given a mulit-million dollar contract and sits on the bench now. Yeah, what an unfair and oppressive country he lives in.

Hes on the clock when he steps foot on that field. If his contract says no funny business then he should mind his p's and q's instead of protesting this indigity of having only 50 million dollars instead of 500 milion.

Just my opinion but I think he's an attention ***** that's wouldn't have the opportunity to do what he does (play football and *****) if not for the people he's thumbing his nose at. Is it legal ? Yes. Is he pathetic for doing it ? Yes to that too. I'm sure plenty of people support the guy- not me.

Who cares, really. You can't feel sorry for someone who intentionally offends, deeply offends, 90% of the US population. He's learning a couple of lessons he should have learned as a child. Life isn't fair and actions have consequences.

I agree. He should deal with consequences, even if that means death or the threat of it. If you offend people like he has, he deserves what he gets, whether it's a threat or actual action. I learned this as a child like you mentioned... don't offend a bunch of people or someone may threaten to kill you or you will be killed.

Like many on this board, I get really tired of how people get offended over everything. It's ridiculous how sensitive people are. Unless it's something like THIS...then it is ok to get so offended you are ok with death threats. Life isn't fair.

So people with means should never speak up for those that don't have the means or platform from which to speak? I guess only people who have actually been shot have a right to speak for those who have been shot?

Never is one so blind that won't open their eyes ( or minds).

Sure, but if they're gonna do that, they need to be articulate in explaining WHY they are doing something. Kaepernick's explanation was vapid and inaccurate. Furthermore, anyone who takes a controversial position should expect to come under criticism.

Sort of like when you welshed on a bet on this site.

Given the amount of psychos we have that post on this board, wouldn't surprise me if some were involved in the threats.
Yes because this board clearly has the market cornered on psychos. I suggest you get out of your cave and see the world for what it is.

Was that supposed to be clever?
