So Kansas is reaching out to the B1G now. The Big 12-2 = 10 is about as stable as a Miami beachfront condo. WVU better get publicly active now or the Long Islands of the world will become the big game.

Yes, they are. Saw it over on TMI a few minutes ago. Wonder who will reach out next? WVU needs to make that call.

I can't see B1G taking Kansas. Might, but there's better teams to look at that bring more to the table in sports. Out of Big XII only, WVU and Oklahoma State would bring more, if you're looking for decent all around teams. Baylor and TCU aren't fits, and Iowa probably prefers Iowa State join the Missouri Valley conference.

Kansas and Iowa State are AAU member research universities.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!
That's true, but those wouldn't be my top picks. Ideally, WVU and Pitt would be my choices, but the ghost of Joe Paterno would block the Panthers. Would be a helluva B1G East Division, with Maryland, Penn State, WVU, Pitt, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, and Indiana. Just FYI, but sending the guidos back to the American.

Fingers Crossed Lyons gets us in the BIGTEN. If BIG12 falls apart... BIGTEN would be a significantly higher revenue stream for WVU $20Mill more then we are getting now, and $26mill more then we would get in the ACC. Better competition too...

Considering the holistic history of both Football & Basketball, Lyons & Gee, I know we'll land somewhere, but if I could choose, Id def roll with BigTen.

Kansas would be a good addition for the B1G.

Kansas brings in a new State and media markets. Fits into the B1G footprint and is an AAU member Research University (most B1G schools are members).

Kansas basketball is very good but the football program is not.

However, football will benefit from B1G membership in much the same ways that Rutgers did when they were invited to the B1G.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

How many 4 and 5 star recruits are in Kansas like there are in New Jersey? Since when has basketball footed the bill and more than football?

This isn't the same as the last go around. This is about viewership streaming.

AD's dont get teams in anywhere...its the school and what the program brings to the conference.

I think if WVU was put to the vote, there would be enough support in ACC to get membership...but you need to get to the phase of the vote. Which means you need to fulfil whatever metrics they are using, which we dont really know.

It's apparent those metrics change often considering they accepted Louisville. A team nowhere near the Atlantic.

The ACC situation is going to come down to a couple of things if WVU gets to that point.

Who can they add that will greatly increase their revenues per school?

If they can land Notre Dame then adding WVU seems more likely.

Or if not maybe some merger of WVU and remaining ACC schools if i.e. the UVA's and UNCs, maybe Clemson, FSU go to the SEC or B10.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the B1G take Kansas and ....... Oklahoma State, Expand their presence into two more states.

Don't see the PAC taking Baylor or TCU, off to the American for them, but I do see them grabbing TT.

WVU, Kansas State, Iowa State are the wildcards here.

I could see the Big Ten adding a non AAU

Something like add:

Missouri
ISU
*KSU
Kansas
*OK State
Texas A&M

Keeps them contiguous as they prefer and gets them in Texas without the problem of the Longhorns (and Missouri and AtM escape without losing).

This would be good for Ohio State, as it would help keep the five-star pipeline open from Texas to Columbus.

Can't see KSU getting into the B1G, and A&M likely wouldn't consider it, as their recruiting would take a major hit, on top of the major hit they're going to take if Texas and Oklahoma move to the SEC. I'd remove KSU and A&M, and replace with WVU and Pitt.

was listening to Bart & Hahn on ESPN radio on my way back from a supplier visit. Hahn thinks by 2023 the B12 will be gone. Says WVU is a perfect fit for ACC and fits a need for them.
