Listen, we get it, but you couldn't have possibly worded that any better (purposely or not) and you know I'm not saying that in any type of "mean" way.
Thought it was a great line, which would have gone right over my head, if you hadn't reacted to it.

Not enough to push through a pc hire and the angst it caused. What else does she do?

And that is what I was responding to. That woman shouldn't be near any leaders at Rutgers. She is a walking mistake.
There is no one near them nor have they interacted with anyone I've seen. Meanwhile Hobbs has been all over the building. It is like there is all this energy and activity tonight and she is as far removed from it as possible.

Another thread dripping with homophobia
wrong. it is called sarcastic humor.

If someone said the same thing about a non-lesbian woman (sitting in her box) it would draw the same comments and you wouldn't be able to leverage the ultra sensitive angle here. relax.

I thought the same thing and I don't give two craps who or what Julie screws.

Right, because you cannot dislike what a gay person did without being homophobic.. Thus anything they do cannot be criticized. And it's a pretty big assumption that everyone making fun of her is straight.
agree, sweeney helped set rutgers back with her personal agenda, my comment is solely focused on her inability to focus on the assignment she was given

She still works here? Why didn't Barchi Fire her for poor oversight of the oversight committee overseeing the hiring of the canned AD?

Actually to be fair to her I believe she has done alot for Rutgersvduring her time here and probably donates a good chunk of cash

You're seriously overestimating how much money Sweeney has. If she donates a good amount of money, then so does half this board.

If someone started a thread making "sarcastic" and "clever" remarks about, say, jews or blacks do you suppose it would've gotten this far?
If we cut out all humor that is based on race, religion, sex, gender, etc., we'll have eliminated about 50% of all humor (it's true - I counted). I'm not the slightest bit racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. and I make jokes about virtually every conceivable grouping of people one could dream up.

In this case, I think it would've been funnier if bac had made the thread title ("Kate Sweeney occupies Julie Hermann's Box") and then explained what he meant. But everybody's a critic.

She donates enough to get "Into" the VIP's private box. How she got in is something I would like to witness. :eyes:

Hobbs would be wise to get her far away from the department. I'm sure he realizes this.

If it were a sexual joke pertaining to a Jewish or African American woman? On this board? Yes. No doubt about it.
I don't think this group would offer any group special protection when it comes to sexual innuendo.

Very disturbing thread.

The fact that the word labia has not been used yet is offensive.

You do realize that Sweeney did not cast the deciding vote.....that would be Barchi

besides Julies qualifications were as good as any other candidates so the whining post removal is over the top by some on here
