Probably not the popular opinion, but I don’t see it as a big loss. He didn’t seem to get many big plays outside of Indiana game.

That stings. But with Pacheco and Young ahead of him I'm sure he wanted more playing time. Somebody's going to pick up a quality RB.

He's a solid player. Wonder if he heads to a MAC school back home for more PT. I thought he was as good, if not better, than Aaron Young.
Adams is the most natural/pure runner in the group. Young is not an every-down RB as he is better at being a pass-catching RB. Pacheco is the toughest, but he's not as instinctive as Adams. I disagree with some who said it's not a big loss. It's bigger than you think.

I agree with this 100%. He seemed like instant offense when he got on the field. Great instinct finding a hole and could catch out of the backfield. I thought he was actually the most complete back even if he was inexperienced.

not the first, and will not be the last. Wish him well, and I am biased, thinking bad decision. But Ash era players and GS new players will keep pushing these transfer possibilities. Plus, he had every opportunity to outshine all other RB's and he didn't.

Good luck Kay'Ron but wish you stayed!

He had our highest avg yd per carry of the RB at 4.5 avg and our highest yd per catch of any player at 18.3 avg. (on 4 catches).

I can see why he would want the ball more.

Define "outshine". As the post below yours called out, he had our highest avg yd per carry of the RB at 4.5 avg and our highest yd per catch of any player at 18.3 avg. (on 4 catches). What else was he to do to shine?

Also, the article iseems incorrect on at least one stat. "He also caught two receptions for six yards, one of which he took for a touchdown." The one play from Langan was like 50 or something wasn't it?

do you think GS would have played him more if he was truly better and consistent, and could block when he had to? and have more explosive plays? Indiana game... but what else? maybe something else internal, disgruntled.. wish him well.

My comment wasn't meant as an indictment on the coaching staff or playing time. Just simply stating that when given the opportunity, he performed. Draw your own conclusions but on gameday at least, he certainly wasn't outshined.

He is a good runner but suspect he didn’t get on the field more due to pass protection and hands. Best of luck to him.

A player who passes the eye test as a talented player. Sorry to see him go. Hopefully, he is not departing for another Big Ten team.

Ridiculous thing to say after seeing how upset people are after losing Adams.

Also what about Fogg, Melton, Fatukasi, Young, Jones, Izien, Turner?
It's not that he didn't know talent. He just had a hard time consistently landing talent because he could not figure out a clear vision for the program (particularly on the offensive side), nor could he be bothered to drive around the state to see players and coaches.

IIRC Kay'Ron was the only Ohio recruit in Ash's four classes.

Wish him well. Its tough to be a BIG RB. Every school will recruit a good/great back every year. If those players stay healthy, its tough to get a lot of touches. I believe that we may pick up a portal RB and that our freshman RB will be able to see the field this year if we need him. I also think we will pick up a top RB recruit next year. So in the big picture I don't think its a huge loss, but would have preferred that he stuck around.
