It appears that Deontay Evans will be getting his first career start at the spot -- with Quadry Antoine as his backup(since Whitley had surgery and it appears we're going to get a medical rs for Dee Arrington). I'd think it's a possibility that Justin Cox sees time today at the position as well.

If Evans starts, he will be the 7th different true or redshirt freshman to draw their first career start this season...

I hope to God we get Arrington bak another year. He looked so promising in his limited snaps. We haven't really utilized him since he's been on campus. Basically two years on special teams.

His highlight reel in HS was basically lots of people getting punished.

Agreed. He looked like Nickoe Pre injury when he was just killing people. Would love to have that in the secondary.we have seen Calhoun loves to hit. Could be a nasty addition.

Arrington should get a medical rs. Hasnt rs yet. Played in less than 30% of games and didnt play in second half of the season.

Did they recently reformat those rules? Seems like there is much more documentation now required regarding the injury and the injury progress in season than it has been in years past.

Arrington should get one with little trouble... since he never redshirted originally. It's applying for the 6th yr where it gets dicey and requires all the documentation...

You still have to document the injury. Its much tougher if you are asking
For a sixth year. Thats not what arrington would be asking for though.
