that we are one team making a huge move in recruiting, builidng off 2012 success.

The Houston and Geyer pick ups were very nice.

I don't know how much Rogers is taking Sandberg and Trent Simpson into account b/c I seriously doubt either ever play baseball at MSU.

if this is sarcasm or not, but he really has the past few years. He never mentioned us, and when he did, it was something negative. However, with Cohen turning things around, he's started to post more positively about us. I guess he's impressed with Cohen and the job John is doing here. Too bad he doesn't know the truth!!11!

but winning a 10 team SEC tournament last year was even more impressive than making a Super Regional the year before. We are definitely heading in the right direction.

I agree. In the past, he has always taken a shot, when given a chance. However, in the last 2 years, he's really had a great deal of good things to say. It just goes to show what an excellent job Cohen is doing, building our program, in my mind, I have no doubt that John will have us back to the CWS soon.

The way you do that is on the field.

And from a prospect standpoint, the fact that we're developing players such as Stratton and have made guys like Caleb Reed and Adam Fraizer into All-SEC players and we are doing well with players like Hunter Renfroe from a development standpoint- those are things that get noticed by people like him as well. None of those four players were rated highly by Rogers out of high school.

Could easily end up in the top 5-10 in the country...

Cohen recruited incredibly well coming off our worse seasons in history. Top 15 classes off being the worst team in the SEC for 3 years HAS to be an incredibly difficult task. It's only natural that we get the benefit of the better years we're having now. We're just STARTING to see how well he can end up doing here.

Rogers and Fitt both have predicted us Omaha-bound this upcoming season. We need to continue taking steps forward...

I have always liked Kendall and respected his opinion. Until the last two years there wasn't much good to say for several years.

He was very high on you at the end of last year even picking you to make the CWS before regional play.

the fact that we don't have a clear advantage with facilities and attendance. I've been critical of Cohen going JUCO heavy early on, but we may look back and say that was the way to go. We had some JUCO's that weren't all-world, but they were servicable and competitive and allowed us to be respectable. Thigpen, Vickerson, Parks, Ogden, Jaron, and Pollorena- those were key guys for us and I think all of them at least got a shot in pro ball other than Pollorena who is still obviously on the team.
