So wait. Should we have fired him now or waited until the seasons over? I’m confused.
Imma be honest. I need some good news for my soul. It would be awesome to get a proven winner to boost morale and get us running quickly.

Don’t fall for this, lads. Kendall is just doing his part to help coaches get raises at their current gigs. We’re hiring an assistant without head coach experience.
I would have to do a deep dive on Twitter going back about 7 years but I am pretty sure he was very much on the train of we were hiring either Schlossnagle or McDonnell in 2018. So don’t get too attached to this necessarily.

Agree. And I don't think we have to worry about our AD bragging about the huge hire we're about to make and then not be able to back it up this time.
No, just because he says the timing is right for hiring doesn’t mean the timing was right to fire the last guy. Try to keep up.
I think the fan base would be more piss at him hiring any assistant from OU than if he kept Lemonis.
I would totally ignore the first wave of big names you see and assume that Kendall is just helping his buddies get pay raises.

It would be a fireable offense to pull the trigger without some feedback on options. It'd be like hiring a first time head coach and not making sure there was a relatively fool proof plan to get an experienced coordinator on the other side of the ball from him. No competent AD would do that.

I think any names being tossed around right now is nothing but speculation.
It kills me every time I see comments like the ones that Kendall made yesterday. We're talking about a profession full of alpha males that now have a chance to make a serious name for themselves, all while increasing their income to levels that most have never seen before. And per some of these media experts, candidates are going to turn their noses up at this opportunity because we fired a coach a few weeks early that has been responsible for an 4-year, unmitigated sh*tshow?

If we’re gonna go DEI, let’s do it right. Do we have any one with Venezuela or Dominican Republic ties? Surely our NIL can beat single A salaries.
If there are, then I'd rather them remove themselves from the pool than us having to figure out that coach is a puss the hard way.
He is one of a few names where my gut instinct is 95% confident it’s not him but if you think about it too long you can talk yourself into a maybe given the weird spot college athletics is in right now.
I’m not sure how big of an investment Virginia or Duke or somewhere along those lines is willing to make in baseball nowadays…. But I’m also unclear how bought in we are/how big are we willing to spend on a coach. Because some of these names are definitely more expensive than others.
We're gonna go out and hire the best proven assistant already on our staff that money can buy!!! I'm so excited!
