Who really thought KP was the perfect choice? It's such a ridiculous statement. At best, people were hoping to be pleasantly surprised with his results.

This article with the same usual BS being said like it's a factual thing is the reason KP was even considered. Who thinks that anybody with zero head coaching experience is a perfect fit at any top college basketball program? It wasn't true then and it's not true now.

Goodman is an idiot with this take. KP didn't have full support and his hiring is the antithesis of being a perfect choice.

the interesting part of the list is most of the failures are by former players who went into coaching. but how bad do you have to be, billy gillispie, to make the list twice?

How does KP ignore things like this. I’m sure it has to affect him but he sure doesn’t acknowledge it on any level. I know he believes in himself and what he is doing but when you see this, when you get skewered by the press, the message boards and sports radio and TV (both local and national) you must know you’re viewed as one of the worst coaches of all time and you’re seen as destroying the once proud UL MBB. How does he continue? This sort of thing would destroy most people. I know I couldn’t do it. At least we know one thing he is good at.

He's just oblivious.

Complete support? By who former players? Goodman’s a moron and has his finger on the pulse of nothing.

Well Payne starts DJ and Miller. Plays Zan. One big doo doo stew he's cooking up at the Ville. There is no way once he is gone from here that he gets another head coaching job, unless it's intramurals at a retirement home.
