I think our guys equate their lack of athleticism and the space they need to shoot to how to guard. Most consider that separation to be wide open.

Cal didn’t break this team. All these guys outside of maybe Noah/Perry have zero issue with Cal whatsoever.

We are ****** and this season is cooked. I hate to say it but man I hope we didn't make a mistake with Pope. He is absolutely lost defensively and some of his lineups are wild ... not giving Noah ANY time is crazy.

The problem with this is in order to come back you have to turn teams over.

I love Pope but this is just wrong. Pitino's first year we were lacking in talent and had some injuries to boot. But they played their asses off every game.
If this team would play that hard then the lack of ability could be forgiven. I've never seen a UK team not even try. Even Sutton's last year those guys played their best. This team will give effort when their shots are going in. If the shots aren't going in, they turn everything else off too. That's on the coaching staff as much as the players. Put the last 5 guys in if they will just compete. We are not competing. Even if by some miracle we could come back it would be a hollow victory because of the not competing.
