I am assuming for ESPN

I guess they want to see if we can get held to under 30 points on national TV and then talk about how this was the same team that beat UM.

So which one of Mississippi, Alabama, and LSU is not a traditional Saturday SEC home game?

I enjoy a the atmosphere and tailgating on Saturday, and I also feel like the stadium is more "alive" for the Saturday games.

Can't believe I'm having to explain this.

The OM game the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's not a normal home game because of the holiday weekend, imo.

The funny thing is, I'm fortunate enough to be able to go to the game on Thursday and tailgate a bit, and I still think it's a horrible.

Right where it's been for the last 60+ years (other than a few years when it was on Thanksgiving night). Sounds pretty traditional to me.

At least we're not bitching about an 11 am kickoff for a change. Now the students won' be too hungover to attend.

I'll bet it will be more alive for that night game as opposed to an 11:00 morning kickoff. I'll take Thursday night over Saturday morning.

As much as I hate Thursday night games, I can spin this as a positive.

It's scheduled after an off week. So playing Thursday means we don't get a full 2 weeks off before Kentucky (we shouldn't need 2 weeks to prepare for them anyway). It also means we get two extra days off before going to South Carolina... which is the start of the toughest portion of our schedule. @ USC, @ TX A&M, Bama, @ ARK, and UM.

I can see us being 5-2 going into South Carolina. That would be huge to get win #6 there if we don't have it already. So extra time to prepare would be nice. The bad news is that USC is coming off 3 consecutive road games so you gotta think that place will be rocking.

But regardless of what happens at USC - the Thursday night Kentucky game comes at a spot in the schedule that should help us get guys healthy and focused on the final 5 games. But I still hate Thursday night games...

Since this game would most likely be an 11 am game on Saturday, I'm cool with it being on Thursday.

Disagree. We are the only game on at that time so much more exposure. Love Thursday night games. I wish the Egg Bowl was still on then.

^This.
Thursday night games are not conducive to my family attending, but this is the perfect spot for one when you focus solely on scheduling for the team and winning as many games as possible.

Again, I'd like people to realize that Friday begins fall break. Thursday home game = students. Saturday at 11 = no students. Saturday night game = no students.

Yep, apparently its cool on this board to ***** about 11 am kickoffs but severely frowned upon to ***** about Thursday night games.
