Have we ever had an Asian player? I hope he has an effect like linsanity, his tape makes him look tailor made for popes offense.

I saw st John’s being the main oneNo smoke so far. I saw something about Florida getting involved. Hoping Facetime > Zoom lol
I don’t know but Robert Morris played some professional ball in China. Does that count for half credit?Have we ever had an Asian player? I hope he has an effect like linsanity, his tape makes him look tailor made for popes offense.
Johnny Juzang!Have we ever had an Asian player? I hope he has an effect like linsanity, his tape makes him look tailor made for popes offense.
Don't you mean "Randolph"???I don’t know but Robert Morris played some professional ball in China. Does that count for half credit?
It’s funny how the mind works LOL. I tried to make a joke and became the joke instead hahaha. Randolph not BobbyMo, thanks catben!Don't you mean "Randolph"???
Sorry couldn't resist.![]()

With all of the talk about the kid from "Robert Morris", it's an obvious mistake to make.
Hope we get him AND this Lee kid. Then maybe things will settle down here.(Not a chance, it would just be on to the next anticipated tragedy).![]()
yessss! forgot about that guy! damn we lost a lot of talent during the cal era to transfers.Johnny Juzang!
I used to see Randolp all over the area of town I live in (Lex), and he had that same look every time I saw him.One of the more surprising things about Kentucky basketball in the last year was Randolph Morris getting off the bus when Pope was introduced in Rupp and then being at some games this year. When he was here no one thought he cared about Kentucky at all.
The funny thing is he still his that same unaffected look on his face even when he’s on the dance cam.
**** I forgot about him as well, how many minutes did he play here 60 mins ? Lol that guy got wasted hereJohnny Juzang!
to me he does..... has a nice first step to the basket..if a big man gets stuck on him in a switch, its going to be a prob for the defender..... stats look pretty good.... is kinda skinny thoIs this kid SEC worthy? Playing in the Ivy League and playing in the SEC is quite a big difference. He's going to be facing the best athletes in the country.
guess this guy is out now that the Pittsburg kid committedLooks like the perfect fit for Pope's system. Now let's get this one committed.
I don’t believe so. The reports were that the staff was selling (whichever guard they met w in Dallas..) on playing alongside Lowe….and that was pre official love news last week. Just based on that sells pitch now that the Lowe news is official, I’d assume they’d take 1 more PG/CGguess this guy is out now that the Pittsburg kid committed
That’s surprising
At 36.6% from 3, we might consider using him as a shooting guard. Maybe?Wow. Confused by that but he is a very good talent.
Hopefully we will be good enough next year where Jasper Johnson doesn't even have to start.I’d be shocked if he commits here after Lowe already commited .
If he did it would be interesting because I always figured Jasper Johnson would start .
According to the highlight video of his, he's 64th percentile with spot up scoring. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about.Pope loves his analytics and the way he likes his shooters to play, he looks closely at a players spot up 3 percentages. I remember him talking about how that made him covet Butler last year.
I’m not smart enough to figure all that out, but I wonder if Lee’s “spot up 3” percentage is off the charts?
Having two guys in the backcourt that can handle the ball and get into the lane but can also knock down the open 3, is probably something he would desire in his offense.
I’m just speculating, though.
It’s very possible he grades out better offensively and defensively than Pierre. Both played in average conferences but Pierre is far more athleticAt 36.6% from 3, we might consider using him as a shooting guard. Maybe?
Would that be referred to as… .MonopoLee?Hot take alert:
Bet you Pope isn’t really trying to get Lee. Trying to drive up NIL for competitors. Playing Monopoly. Lee doesn’t fulfill any need that I can see on our roster and creates minutes conflicts
Thanks for the info!According to the highlight video of his, he's 64th percentile with spot up scoring. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about.
He's an excellent cutter, passer, and is in the 70th+ percentile in both scoring off ball screens and off the dribble. Maybe Pope wants a really damn good cutter on this team. That's a huge part of the offense, after all.
That’s surprising
Xaivian Lee is the top available point guard in the college basketball transfer portal and Kentucky, Florida, Duke and BYU have emerged as top contenders for the former Princeton star
Guess Pope playing chessThought I saw where this kid was a LOCK for Rick Pitino.
Why are we still in the conversation??? Thought we had too many Guards.
