A conservative take:
I guess you could argue all day about whether Mitch has had laser focus on Kentucky's issues, and I'm sure MJ was able to find someone from every county to ***** about him. You can't argue with the Majority Leader's success in laying the foundation for a generation of judges, at all federal levels, to rule conservatively.
It's impossible to measure the positive impact that will have across the country and here in Kentucky.
His speeches from the Senate floor against impeachment witnesses and the utter ridiculousness of the House's weak case was epic.
But, do tell what you think of MJ's book, if you ever get around to reading it.

I'm 10 pages in. I really could care less about politics. I'm just reading it for the stories and nuggets of info about all the counties. Truthfully idk **** about 95% of our state.
Will not read, will not patronize his restaraunt, ever, disappointed he's not running against Mitch so I can volunteer and work for Mitch's campaign, and I don't even like Mitch! Would love to have seen him start shrieking on stage when Mitch went negative on him, a for sure breakdown would have occurred. Stopped listening to his radio show, listen to Chris Plante on VLK, hysterical show, puts lefties in their place.
The title seems a bit misogynistic. In fact, very much so.
He has a major inferiority complex and is probably still reeling from the fact he would have been crushed by Mitch....or the fact that Maverick is the choice to run instead of him.
My favorite MJ moment(s) of all time was when he was "deciding" whether or not he was going to run for US Senate. It was a gut-wrenching 6 month performance that included many highlights such as him being forced off his TV show, a verbal spat with his sister Amy McGrath, and thousands of prayers. He was on the verge of tears recalling the painful moment Amy broke his trust. They had entered a secret bff pact that required them to inform each other if they decided to run for senate. Amy broke that pact, and Matt's heart.

That's what I find hypocritical of him and find him less entertaining as the days go bye. He crushes trump everyday for speaking his mind the same breath he will completely voice his opinion and speak his mind and anyone that calls him out for it is either wrong or dumb. Had a conservative named a book that he would have completely lost his mind over it. Since it's his book and liberal view point it's no big deal.
Jealousy and envy will make you sad especially when you were raised a spoiled brat it seems.

I listened to KSR daily for the past year or so, was a little late to listening to the show. But, I enjoyed it quite a bit and I appreciated that he seemed to go out of his way to avoid much of the heavily politcal discussions, really on both sides of the politcial fence.
However, I was very disappointed in how he jumped the politcal shark after the beginning of this Coronavirus scare. When they were at Nashville I guess when SECT was cancelled and all hell began to break loose, he had a show that ran for like 4-5 hours where he literally railed on Trump and the Senate for hours. Then, when anyone would call in with a different viewpoint, he would cut them off and be fairly snarky and denigrating to them in the process. All of the goodwill I thought he had built, for me at least, was gone at that point.
You cannot decree that people shouldn't play politics during an event like Covid-19 at the same time you are playing politics. Its one of the most hypocritical things I have ever heard them do on the show, and I have listened very sparsely since then. I have listened to the podcast a couple times since, and he appears to have went back to a largely non-political stance, but I have only heard a show or two, I think.
Talk politics if you want, just don't tell others not to play politics at the same time you are doing exactly that. I am not opposed to listening again, I just took a little vacation from the show after that day. I am always willing to give someone a pass, especially in times of high stress. For me, it was less the political stance as we all know his politics--it was how he treated others who called in or expressed a different view from his own. Course, if I am being honest, the callers who expressed a different view were at best not necessarily the savvy political type and didn't really have much to represent the other side.

I don't listen much anymore but always found it funny when someone would call in and disagree with him. He would say "I love you but that is a stupid take" and the caller would say "well I guess you are right". What? You can have an opinion and just because he doesn't share it doesn't mean he is right or your opinion is stupid. That is why I quit listening. He can have his opinion and talk about whatever he wants on his show but to put down his callers and the reason he is not practicing law today keeps me from listening anymore.

This. He's very hypocritical. He doesn't let anyone with a different view point express it. Cuts them off and usually has s snarky remark. He does the same thing on Twitter. He constantly talks down to people if they disagree. You can't claim to love the people of KY when you do this constantly.
I find Matt entertaining but if someone were to ask me if he would take short cuts to get to get what he wants I would say yes.

I still find it funny that he was going to force Ryan (who was correctly worried) to go to Cynthiana the day after the first couple cases of Corona broke in KY all while mocking the whole situation. Could you imagine if they had gone and Ryan got it and died or something?

He really talks very little about politics on the show. It's two hours long. He might gloss over a topic and just allude that he doesn't like Trump every other day.

I enjoy the fact that he list his TV show over his politic, and a fellow democrat was behind it. That makes me smile.

Yes he absolutely did. It was right around sec tournament time before it got really bad/scary. They suddenly “cancelled” the trip because I’m sure his tone changed real quick about the virus.
