The only insane thing about Kentucky basketball right now (aside from Pope's mishandling of a 22 million dollar roster, of course) is fans such as yourself who lower the bar to Indiana level.
Correct. Fans that accept mediocrity are the problem. And they will do everything in their power to present others as bad fans for not following and cheering blindly.

Yet, Oweh is expected to be a savior. smh. He has flaws, but he's a guy who could start just about anywhere
I have no idea if you were referring to me or someone else with my criticism of Oweh, but Oweh could be a great 3rd option. But as the “man”, he does a great job of getting his w/out really making our team better. He (and Aberdeen) is a ball-hog who chooses to go for steals or hang back for easy dunks and would rather throw up some BS mid-range jumper instead of finding a better shot. He will pad his stats when we’re down to make things look good in a box score, but he doesn’t make the team a lot better.

If that’s the guy you want to lead your team, more power to you, but that’s not who I wan to go all-in on. And I think Pope was incredibly wrong for deciding to go in that direction.

There has to be a complete change in culture and that’s gotta come from some people no longer being a part of this program. Coaches, players, waterboys, all these people I see walking around in a daze out there every damn game. And it has to happen now. Send guys packing. Play the season out with the 5 or 6 guys you have left that want to listen and play the right way. Making the tournament really just prolongs things. Get rid of the stink of this entire product now.

The good thing about my life is that I can click one button and the insane nuts of our fanbase all vanish.

Click.
Can you please tell me how you feel about CMP as of this evening? Just honest answer. You happy with him/his performance? You not happy but are good keeping him for another year? You don’t care either way, just like to have back and forth with other posters? Do you believe he has done a good job so far? Do you believe he can recruit at the level necessary? Do you think he should be held accountable for recruiting this team? Or at least ready to admit his recruitment of this team is just not good and unacceptable. I just want to know for real.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST GAME KENTUCKY HAS PLAYED IN 21st Century.
UN PHUCKIN WATCHABLE
No. Gonzaga and Mich St this season were worse. Alabama, Arkansas and Ohio State last year were worse.

UK made an effort tonight. ^^Those games weren’t even effort.

Well, can’t wait to hear what Pope has to say about this. I’m sure it will be enlightening.

Don't care either way. Haven't cared as much since Cal started sht-talking the fanbase, right after he wet the bed with an undefeated team. Checked out with the "we only care about March/the Draft" and "basketball school" sht.

I had a little hope he knew what he was doing when he was hired. Haven't watched enough to say either way. Used to not miss a game. Planned my entertainment dollars around UK sports. Now I rarely watch much.

DOES he even recruit? I haven't seen much to say he does. Does he have a plan how players are going to be used when he shows up at a recruit's house? Doesn't seem like a good sales person to me.

Oh well

I agree that Vandy will be a different animal in this new era, but didn't we spend more than anyone this year?
The way I see it… maybe we spent more money this year on players. Other programs have to be spending way more on their infrastructure. Their roots are stronger than ours.

Kentucky fans are the only thing keeping us half way relevant. We aren’t spending money on our programs. We overspend for players that aren’t good because we have to. Our infrastructure is so weak we have become desperate.

What is bizarre is to stop and think about these players get paid big $$$ to play basketball. They get paid for this ... !!!

What's bizarre is to think we actually thought they did it for just the scholarship before this.

Thanks for reply. I was asking @Monday Nitro - is that you and just forgot to log out/in before reply, or are you just giving a good response just because?

I have him on ignore, so I didn't see that you were responding to him. Sorry. Just responding honestly because I know it's hard to come by from some people.

Appreciate what you do, by the way, with the dwnlds. Can't thank you enough.

The ironic thing is, it is obvious that our opponents spent time watching film of what we ran last season. I turn on the TV and watch other games, only to have Deja Vu. I see other teams running similar action combinations on offense, and not just the basics. So, the offense that we run isn't the reason this season has imploded.

Those other teams can also scout talent and recruit better than Pope ever thought about doing, even with the resources at his disposal. We've got a broken and poorly constructed roster filled with players who aren't motivated to bring it every game. If you can't get guys like Noah and Chandler up for an SEC road game, you've got no chance getting the rest of the team to play to win.

Yeah 41% is terrible. Nevermind our high paid guys & 5 stars who shoot it worse.
He’s 3-12 against teams that don’t suck (Gonzaga and the P5 teams) this season. Give or take the same last season. Translation, he’d be a good shooter…at Western or Murray or Bellarmine…but he ain’t one at UK. Let alone, he gives you NOTHING else.

My favorite is how you waited until the game was over so you could wait and see before replying. lol. The same could be said about everyone on this team except maybe Oweh, Aberdeen, & Chandler who all have sucked plenty at times and all did tonight. Jasper has been terrible, Jelavic has been terrible. Oweh and Aberdeen were atrocious tonight. Like I said earlier, the sample size isn’t there to know what he would do shooting wise. You look at a box score. I look at how/when shots are taken. If you’re a shooter and you stand around the perimeter open as guys drive and don’t kick, it just adds more and more pressure in limited minutes when you do shoot. Noah can shoot, Jelavic can shoot, Williams can shoot. All three guys didnt have the freedom offensively to take shots because they get the ball in terrible position from 3 to shoot when they do. Thats a coaching issue. Noah is fine. If you look at per minutes played rather than per game where he may only play a few minutes here and there here’s how he stacks up against Oweh without the ball in his hands.

Oweh: Steals 0.06/min, Rebounds 0.14/min, Assist 0.05/min

Noah: Steals 0.05/min, Rebounds 0.19/min, Assist 0.05/min. Shooting splits are all better.

I’m not saying he’s close to Oweh as a player. I just picked him because he’s our best player and I’m not going through everyone. But to act like he gives nothing is ridiculous. Some of yall expect him to play 9 minutes and put up 8, 4, & 4. He’s an off the ball role player and does fine at it. But he’ll stand around the perimeter wide open for a kick out and never get it. Then has to take a contested deep shot from a pass to the wing when he does shoot and be expected to shoot 75%. You just want to pick on him because he’s not flashy and easy target as the 9th man. He’s the least of our worries.

I’m not picking on anything. The numbers are what they are. The sample size over 1.5 seasons is plenty big enough. If he were worth a damn, he’d be replacing the dudes that suck that are playing over him.

Trent Noah isn’t the least of our worries. He’s indicative of our worries. Just like our trash coach, Trent Noah wouldn’t be here if he grew up playing in Cincinnati. Just like our trash coach wouldn’t be here had he not played here.

The problem with this team is not Oweh it is the lack of talent around him. Oweh is not a superstar but he is this team’s best player by far. Oweh didn’t put this team together Pope did. Your beef should be with Pope not Oweh.

One thing about tonight, the pumpers have been quite as a church mouse. Most of the time they are on here bringing up old post from a month ago and telling everyone how stupid they are.

I honestly don't think he even cares if the team is winning or losing. It's like he is just trying to create some highlights for himself.
I think they all reverted back to 'get mine' mentality. I thought they had turned a corner and were playing together but at this point, Pope and the entire can say all they want about them being together but I am not buying it. Pope opened it up with his comments after the UL game and he can't take it bad. This team has been fractured from DAY 1. Pope for all of the millions he makes hasn't been able to bring them together.

Oh I’ve complained since last year that you can never have a great team with Oweh as your “star”. He’s proven that. He also seems to have a really bad attitude and may be more responsible for some of the chemistry issues that I originally thought.
