Really like the way this guy is playing. His two sacks against NW were huge.

And like his interviews even more. What a well spoken, articulate guy. He explained the MRI thing well to help us understand. Would bet that he's an asset in recruiting some D tackles for us this year.

With ya bro; I don't think he has peeked; really maturing and is getting coached up to his potential.GBR

Too bad we basically wasted his RS season, he has really developed into a good DT.

Not to derail the conversation into a redshirt vs no redshirt debate, but if he had redshirted do you really think he sticks around for that 5 year? Presumably, with that extra year, you believe he would be even better than he is playing now. Considering Collins and Valentine each left after their Junior seasons, one redshirted and one didn't.

I focused on him during the first couple of games and thought he was the MVP of the defense. Sacks are nice stats, but his ability to power through a double team and push the o-line back into the gaps or the QBs face is impressive. My only criticism of him is that he's not a great tackler. Granted, he normally has o-line man or two draped on him, but he's not able to knock a guy down with one hand, like Suh could. I know, that's a tough comparison. But it seems like Maurice is able to jam up a play but not finish it sometimes.

I do think he would be back for a 5th year. KM is a good player, but I'm not sure he is a early round draft pick. Collins had unreal athleticism and VV had size that you just can't teach.

We're gonna need every player to step up on the D-Link. His sacks were BIG!

He repeatedly outplayed Vince last season. Not sure why people thought he would be a downgrade. Maliek's spot is where the Huskers need to improve.

I had a feeling he would come through for us this year. Hope he keeps it going. I know our DL still lacks experienced depth, but I feel good about its future.
