I'll have to dig up the article, but there was an analysis I read earlier in the season that point spread from the previous season was a better predictor of W-L than the prior seasons W-L. And while the Bears had one of the tougher W-L strengths of schedule, that point difference was much weaker, so they may be primed for a sneaky easy schedule.

TLDR, the Bears schedule goes from 8th toughest to 20th based on adjusted SOS formula.

I'm not trying to start political debate with this at all, but I do find the title of the article hilarious considering how wrong fivethirtyeight was about the election

Uh, they got it closer than any other serious publication, and have historically been very accurate across forecasting elections.

It is fun to see the Bears return to their roots with the beginnings of the best linebacking corps in the league along with an outstanding run game. Throw in a very talented WR group and secondary and you have the makings of playoff team. Maybe not this year but they will be much funner to watch than last year. No doubt.

Definitely like the aggressive swing. I think they gave themselves a two year window. After that two years they're gonna feel a roster crunch, with hopefully, a well deserved Trubisky extension looming. They don't have great odds the next two years, but I'm not sure slowly, conservatively building would have led to better odds by the time that they could have swung for it, blown it up, and tried building it back up.

Nagy for mayor of Chicago. Finally a offense that’s not predictable. My heart stopped 10 times already. Lol

It's a little early to be declaring the Bears Super Bowl Champions let alone NFC North Champion or Wildcard or ...............

Still a quarter to play and we ALL know Aaron Rogers can ball !

Khalil Mack is definitely the bomb tonight, but I have to give props to that Chuck Norris Toyota commercial. I’m still laughing.

They have no answer for the no huddle. Pass rushers gassed. Tons of short throws with a token running play to keep them honest.

Rookie coach showing?

Possibly,... I would take a risk and send a blitz or two. Rogers can’t move well with his knee. They need to counter the no huddle and get them behind the down and distance sticks.

That said - they pay me zero for my peanut gallery coaching recommendations!
