I believed you up until Sellers. Kiffin won’t go after a qb who is inaccurate, can’t read a defense and takes sacks.
Not my rumor but from someone in the know. I have no idea if it's true because someone else said Kiffin's son has already been enrolled. Kelly was planning to go after Sellers. I would imagine Lane wouldn't turn him down. Someone tell his current players.
Yea I know it’s not your rumor, but Sellers is not a qb Lane could live with imo, he was terrible this year.

Lane won a national title with Blake Simms. He’ll be fine if they go that direction. That said, if Trinidad gets another year I’d expect him to go with Lane
That was with a team full of first round picks. Bama has won nattys with average, at best. QBs.

Do not overhype the legend of Lane Kiffin. Blake Sims was the Alabama starting QB in 2014 & Ohio State won the National Championship that season. Ohio State beat Alabama in the semi-finals that year which was the first season of the 4 team College Football Playoff.
Sellers has woefully underperformed this year. But his 2024 stats are almost the same numbers that Chambliss has now. To think that Kiffin couldn’t make Sellers a star is putting your head in the sand.
The simple fact is this. Kiffen is the so called portal king. All of the players he likes will follow him wherever he goes. They don't care about Old Miss. They care about NIL money and NFL money. If Kiffen bolts I expect half the team to sit out any postseason games and play for him next year wherever.

I heard Matt Jones of ESPN predict on the radio that Kiffin will announce his intentions on College Gameday on Saturday.

Rumor last night is that Kiffin might be getting cold feet about going to LSU and stay at Ole Miss. It’s not surprising to me. Kiffin is probably autistic and acts like a 14 year old girl. He might change his mind at the podium and sign with the NYG.
If this is the case, you can breathe easy because he would 100% be staying at om. If he is going to announce on a show, it will prove that the whole process has been nothing but a show. He will then go ahead and sign the contract to film another documentary to talk about how he "almost" took the lsu job.
College sports and the characters who perform in that space do not impact my breathing.

False. Ohio State won the NC the only year that Simms and Kiffin were together at Alabama - 2014.
This possibilty is the biggest reason that college football needs to get a handle on this coach's carousel. The networks are going to demand at some point the "integrity" of this playoff cannot be damaged by this timing issue. There needs to be a freeze on hiring until after the playoffs are complete or at least until your team is done like in the NFL. They are putting a bunch of money into this 12 team playoff and if a team that is in it all of a sudden doesn't have its Coach and a handful of it's best players, that's a problem.

Coaches should be able to be fired at any time but hiring should be closed until after the final game of the entire season is played regardless of whether your team is in the playoffs or not. Player transfer should only be allowed at the end of the academic semester that any football is played which would be a late May early June window. This would solve a lot of problems.
