Kiffin is sending TN representatives to recruit players. How could this be a violation? Now, if the hostesses are whores, then that would be a different story.

I thought sending representatives to games was a common practice and perfectly legal. I guess it depends on what kind of representative they are sending. This article really leaves the reader hanging from a limb.

I think the rule is you can't have a group whose specific purpose is to recruit student-athletes. The rule changed after all the problems at Colorado a few years back, under Barnett I guess. Auburn skates that rule by saying on paper at least that their host/hostess group gives campus tours to general campus visitors, but I am not sure how true that is.

Also, the fact that UT may have been sending anyone other than the few coaches authorized to recruit off-campus to games could be a problem.

"entertain recruits" and "show them a good time" are thrown out there quite alot

I believe the maximum number of off-campus recruiters (this also applies to phone calls) you can have is 10 and they all have to pass an NCAA Rules test. This is why when we were still looking for a coach last year Greg Byrne took the test and became eligible to call recruits while we didn't have one.

the more I'm convinced "He Got Game" was really a documentary with a big budget and better acting.

To Courtney,

I don't play football anymore, and will never go to TN, but you are welcome to recruit me anytime.

And Baylor- ouch! No wonder you can't win.

I'm suprised I didn't see somebody named Anita Dick in there. It already sounds like an xxx Carl Hogan commercial.
