This guy is in for it.

"Nu'Keese was a champion the whole way through. We set the whole thing up. Nu'Keese came out and said at one point, I believe on Friday in the Miami paper, that he wasn't even coming to visit us. We had a great plan to steer Florida away from this guy so they thought we weren't getting him. The pressure would stay off of him. They'd think they still had him"

.............Kiffin is no better a hire at UT than Dan Mullen is at MSU? That's not to say Mullen will be more successful in the long run, especially considering our limitations compared to UT. I'm just saying, strictly going by what's on paper, that I can't help but believe we got a guy who's just as good, and maybe better. I especially question it after Kiffin started showing his ***(and his lack of knowledge about NCAA rules) here in the last few days. He comes off as a bit unprepared for the task at hand.

this is the South and not LA. People take whats said about football very seriously and we dont have the distraction of Hollywood to cover up stupid things that people say. Football in the South is the same as Hollywood to LA.

He is going to get his *** beat on if he keeps this up

Im just trying to understand his thought process. I understand that he is trying to rally the troops, get everybody fired up but does he really want everyone in the conference to hate him? Urban Meyer is going to curb stomp his *** next year and Saban probably will too. If nothing else its apparent the guy has no filter whatsoever, any thought that enters his head is immediately coming out of his mouth.

It's like the writer said..he belittled the high school, and the town for that matter, that this kid came from and from the sound of things the coach at the high school has lost all respect for Kiffin as well. Congratulations Half Monte, the state of Florida is now closed.

till its too late.

He is on a collision course with personal disaster...sort of like Al Davis is looking over his shoulder all of the time.

and I am maybe going out on a limb here- but basically what I think he's trying to do is maybe draw attention to himself and the UT program so that he can get recruits for the future. Also, because he's stirring the pot with UT's rivals, he's going to attract that much more attention to his program and his team when the play UF and Bama.

Essentially in some mad way what he's telling recruits across the country is that UT is going to compete with the NC for recruits and Bama as well. It's a crazy way to get PR.

He's an attention *****, but hey, that worked for UT in men's basketball to, so why not stick with the formula?

Georgia found out what it was like to piss off Florida and Tennessee is about to find out.

Just to bring up the first set of Kiffen's comments, I love that nobody has really asked about why the recruit had a cell phone on during a meeting with coaches?

Is that normal now? Are those meetings informal? I would imagine that having a cell phone on would have been inappropriate.

Al Davis looks smarter every time this guy opens his mouth. I never thought I'd see someone who could accomplish that.

that nobody in UT's athletic department has pulled Kiffin aside and suggested a "course correction" for his current behavior. The guy has no filter and also has no off button. This is going to wind up like the Hindenburg. And it couldn't happen to a better bunch.

comments by readers? The gator fan talking about a rumor involving the hiring of frank wilson and kiffin wanting to keep it quiet until signing day. I haven't heard that spin on the situation. Has anyone else heard that?

I am following what you are saying, make alot of noise, draw attention to ourselves, make people look our way.........but that gets people to the circus tent, & he is creating more of a car wreck situation on lakeland drive.......& this quote tells me he isn't going to have to many friendly encounters down there anymore.

"Let me break this down so that you guys understand in recruiting what this means to get this done," he said. "Pahokee is probably the hardest area in Florida to ever go into as an out-of-state school or a school not named Florida Gators and get a guy. And for (assistant coach) Eddie Gran to be hired only less than three weeks ago to go down in there. ... For those of you who haven't been to Pahokee, there ain't much going on.

"You take that hour drive up from south Florida, there ain't a gas station that works. Nobody's got enough money to even have shoes or a shirt on. This is an area that great players have come from for years, but you've got to have the right guy to go in there. If we didn't have Eddie Gran on our staff, we probably don't get in the school.

Hey, you got alot of great football players down there, but......man y'all are pathetic
